: one of the most interesting parts of Safety Expo might happen after you leave the exhibition hall. On 16. - 17. September, you’ll find SKYLOTEC at Hall A, Booth 53 in Bergamo.

But this time, the booth is only part of the experience.

On both exhibition days, we’re planning a guided tour of our production site in Cisano Bergamasco, giving you a closer look at our product development, manufacturing and the people behind our solutions. The plan: meet us at the SKYLOTEC booth at around 14:30, take the organised shuttle to Cisano Bergamasco and spend the afternoon with our team until approximately 18:30.

It’s an opportunity to see where our products come to life, talk directly with our experts and discuss your own projects and safety requirements beyond the usual trade fair setting.

Protect people working on the roof without penetrating the membrane or installing an unnecessarily complex system.

The SECU® RAIL 2.0 protection system provides collective protection for maintenance, installation and inspection work. Supported by the roof structure, it creates a secure working area while preserving the integrity of the roof membrane.

Although the terms and protection are often used interchangeably, they serve different purposes. Traditional railings are frequently designed for publicly accessible areas and may need to withstand horizontal loads of up to 150 kg. These requirements can make the system more complex and expensive.

SECU® RAIL 2.0, by contrast, is specifically designed for temporary work on roofs and meets the requirements of EN 13374, equipment class A.

The rescue is over. Everyone is safe. But one important step is still missing. Before the team moves on, it needs to understand what actually happened. Was every instruction clear? Was the right equipment available at the right moment?

Did a handover slow the operation down? Did the team have to change the original plan? These details can easily be forgotten once the pressure of the operation is gone. A structured debrief helps rescue teams discuss them while the experience is still fresh. The purpose is not to find someone to blame. It is to understand why something worked, where difficulties occurred and what the entire team can do differently next time.

Even small observations can make a difference: a radio message that was misunderstood, equipment positioned too far away or a responsibility that was not clearly assigned. When these points are discussed openly, one operation becomes practical preparation for the next. A good debrief does not end with the question:

"What went wrong?” It ends with: “What will help us work better next time?”

Carry less. Change equipment less often. Adapt faster. The CRIC combines four essential functions in one compact device: ascender, pulley, rope clamp with pulley and progress-capture hauling pulley. For rope access and rescue teams, this means less equipment on the harness, fewer device changes and greater flexibility when the situation or rope setup changes. The integrated pulley supports efficient hauling, while the opening mechanism allows quick installation on the rope, even when wearing gloves. One device. Four functions. More flexibility at height.

Make every step upwards more efficient.

The QUICK STEP foot ascender supports a faster and smoother rope ascent when combined with a hand or chest ascender.

It is available for the left or right foot and can be adjusted securely to the boot. Thanks to its self-cleaning cam, it continues to perform reliably even when ropes are dirty or icy.

A compact and practical addition for rope access, work at height and tree climbing.

An emergency rarely comes with a warning.

Whether working at height, in confined spaces, or in hard-to-reach locations, a successful rescue depends not only on the skills of the team, but also on how quickly the right equipment is ready for use.

That is exactly where the RDR-Kit for Rapid Descent Rescue comes in.

- Pre-configured for rapid deployment.
- Intuitive handling, even under pressure.
- Designed to support controlled rescue operations from heights and depths.

Because in a real emergency, rescuers should not have to spend valuable time assembling a system. They should be able to act immediately.

GRIMPDAY 2026 was intense from start to finish.

Three days in Namur. Demanding rope rescue scenarios. Changing weather. Technical challenges that pushed every team to stay focused, communicate clearly and trust their system.

This aftermovie captures the energy of one of the world’s toughest technical rescue competitions: rescues in the dark Theatre of Namur, bridge rescue through a narrow passage, scaffolding scenario, crane challenge and complex operations around the Citadelle.

SKYLOTEC equipment was part of several scenarios, including CONREST PRO+, Power Ascenders and the K9 Dog Harness. Built for rescue teams, firefighters, emergency services and professionals working at height.
