Friday was our Munich day. Started with a lovely train ride. After arriving we walked the Main Street and ended up having lunch at the Hofbräuhaus. After lunch we split into groups. Frau Schott’s group went to Schloß Nymphenburg. My high adventure group took a roof top tour of the Olympische Stadium, home of the 1972 Olympic Games!!! Then we went to BMW Welt across the street. Proud of my adventure group, Emma, Joey, Jack and of course Nikolas. Awesome Munich adventure!! P. S. We represented O-H-I-O all the way!!

Tour of Passau part 3. Our last adventure of the day was a short boat ride. Passau is called the three rivers city. It is the point where the Donau (Danube) , the Inn and the Ilz rivers converge. Because of their paths, the three rivers are all 3 different colors. When they meet, they take a few hundred yards before they actually mix. One cool thing to do is take a boat over them and look down at the mixing waters. Can you see the different colors?? Then a sleepy Gary bus ride home. Tomorrow...BMW plant tour.

Tuesday in Passau part 2. After walking down the hill, we walk through town past the old Rathaus (town hall). Then the kids had 45 minutes to do a scavenger hunt through town. That hunt ended stop the hill on the island where the cathedral is located. Inside the cathedral is the largest pipe organ in the world. We were treated to a 45 minute long concept. Absolutely amazing experience!!

Today we got to meet the county commissioner for the Dingolfing area. He has held this position for 28 years. Next year will be his last. Best wishes!! After he told about his job and the Dingolfing area, he gave us lunch, took our pictures for the local newspaper and let us get some free license plates for souvenirs!!!
