Munich University Summer Training in German and European Law (MUST)
STUDY LAW AT MUNICH UNIVERSITY
Every summer, the Faculty of Law at the Munich University – one of the leading law faculties in Germany – offers a unique summer programme for lawyers and law students from abroad. It is hosted in the heart of the Bavarian capital, Munich, a city with extraordinary cultural attractions, historical sites, fine restaurants and the world famous beer gardens. The course provides an in-depth introduction to German and European law. Special attention will be devoted to areas that are of interest to foreign lawyers working in business law, i.e. corporate, securities, and antitrustlaw as well as business taxation. This challenging programme has been a great success from the very beginning and hosted participants from 23 countries in the summer of 2013. Most of the classes will be taught by professors of the Faculty of Law. They are leading scholars in their respective fields and have many years of teaching experience. The size of the programme will be strictly limited and students will be carefully selected in order to guarantee excellent studying conditions. Knowledge of German is not a requirement. Students will have the opportunity to take an examination at the end of the programme. This will be mandatory for students who are awarded a scholarship by the German Academic Exchange Service. Successful completion of the examination will be documented in a certificate issued by Munich University, Faculty of Law. A certificate of attendance will be available to students who do not wish to sit or who do not successfully complete the examination. Organisation
The Faculty of Law at Munich University organises the programme in cooperation with the International University Club of Munich (IUCM) and the Office of International Affairs at Munich University.
