Back to the Centre of my Cosmos, aka ‘The Shire’ to reclaim my sofa for a minute, daffodils are out in Lewes & taking a breather after so much travelling before we start again 🌼 🌍
It was good to practice daily last week but hitting .movement this week & hoping to catch up with the lot too 💪 🌼 Will be hitting up my Lewes lovelies for Matcha 🍵 & 🤗- it’s been a long time 🌍 ✈️ sussexbythesea

Had a thought in practice today (& fortunately being on my travels again I am getting to 26/2 a lot) that I have been doing this for 28 years now. TWENTY EIGHT YEARS?! I have been looking myself in the eye, locking the knee & trying to touch my head to it - with varying levels of success 😝⚖️
And I am so so grateful to be here right now in the sunshine, and to all the versions of me who led me here, and all the people I have met and love and loved who have helped me end up here and all the seasons and lessons and questions and disappointments and successes and choices that previous Naomis have taken.
Here’s to another 28 years on the Mat, even if I die trying! 💪

Reunion of the OG Hot 26/2 Teacher Trainees/Graduates Cohort 1! 💥
10 weeks after OFFICIALLY becoming 200 hr HOT YOGA TEACHERS we all flew in, trained up, down and across for practice, dinner & drinks in London. Crikey, it was SO hot that - as you can see - we all seemed to have complete hysteria after a most excellent class (thank you) with the OG classic teacher Antonia who I have known since back in LA 2001
🧡 My face is ACHING from crying with laughter and my heart is so so SO full from spending a delightful evening with the new teachers and hearing about all their roles, classes and THEIR new students. So proud of you all & grateful to know you 🙏

So happy 2024 brought my OG Hot Yoga Certification 200 hours Teacher Training program to life through Yoga Alliance Professionals! Massive thank you to our Guest Speakers & all the Hot Yoga Teachers who also supported our Trainees, now Graduates, welcomed learning from our panel of experts Dr Jessica Mee, Sarah Taylor, Anna Lempriere, 🧡 Mel Larsen - Marketing Coach/Consultant , Laura Hancock, Steve bracken, Sara Parker, Jerome Armstrong.

Sad to read today of the passing of Dr Robin Monro of the Yoga Biomedical Trust. He was 92.
I attended his Yoga Therapy Diploma Course in 2008 at a time when I was in deep burnout and 10 years of Hot Yoga Practice wasn’t touching the sides. During that course, my personal practice deepened and widened in such unexpected ways. I discovered how much I needed Yoga Nidra (snoring my way thru my first experience of it) and over that 6 months realised just how little I knew and understood- but that lack of knowledge was met with such kindness and wisdom by Dr Munro and all the wonderful staff and teachers on the course in Islington.
Yoga therapy was not understood by many of my fellow ‘Bikram’ Yogis back then and I’m always grateful for the crossover and experience I have of it daily. Dr Monro was so science-based in his teaching, humble, quiet, there was no lycra, or mirrors or glamour. Thank you for what you brought to us all - ever grateful 🙏

🎉 The world has 7 brand new freshly minted hot yoga teachers today and I’m SO happy to have shared with them everything I’ve learnt over the last 24 years!

🌍 Here they are with their certificates in UK, Sweden & France and tears of joy were shed 💓

(I only take small groups so I can work very closely with the apprentices)

Well THAT was one of the most unexpectedly eventful yoga retreats that turned into one of the most profound and authentic experiences due to the amazing group of women who showed up & showed themselves 🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🩶
