Ein großartiges Interview, das auch die Hierarchien der Mehrsprachigkeit thematisiert. Wenn es normal wirkt, Wörter aus dem Englischen oder Französischen zu übernehmen, aber ungewohnt, Ausdrücke aus dem Türkischen oder Arabischen zu nutzen, kann darin ein rassistisches Muster stecken.

P.S.: Es hat eine Weile gedauert, bis ich verstanden habe, was an ‚Ich küsse dein Herz‘ so blumig wirkt – wahrscheinlich, weil das Türkische im Gegensatz zum Deutschen voller solcher Ausdrücke ist :)

A wonderful interview that also touches on the hierarchies within multilingualism. If it seems normal to borrow words from English or French, but unusual to use expressions from Turkish or Arabic, that might reveal a racist pattern.

P.S.: It took me a while to understand why ‘I kiss your heart’ sounds so flowery – probably because Turkish, unlike German, is full of such expressions :)

I had a productive week at RIME 2025 – Research in Music Education. It was a valuable experience, with several inspiring presentations and insightful discussions.
I also had the opportunity to present my research, which examines the intersection of linguistic diversity, gender studies, and music education. It was a great chance to engage with the community and receive feedback on this area of study.

1. Relationship-building is a core process of teaching and learning. Here we explore: What are effective ways to create compatibility in your community music environments? What musical practices provide the most constructive processes for relationship-building?  

2. Identity and Inclusion: How do we identify ourselves? Who is within our communities and what are their identities? Who is missing in our current communities and why? How might one include the incarcerated within community music communities? How might we create relationships with our natural environment in our learning experiences? 

3. Next steps: What is possible with our current and future community music practices? What needs do we see that exist within our local communities? How can community music facilitation and learning address these needs? What types of research projects and research questions will guide this work most effectively?

„Organismen als Energiewandler: Wie Sprachtradition und Sprachpolitik evolutionsbiologische Erkenntnis beeinflussen“

Dieser Vortrag beleuchtet, wie unterschiedliche wissenschaftliche Sprachen die Rekonstruktion von Evolutionsprozessen prägen und diskutiert kritisch die Bedeutung von Mehrsprachigkeit angesichts der wachsenden Anglisierung im Hochschulbereich. Welche wissenschaftlichen Perspektiven eröffnen sich durch sprachliche Vielfalt?

Forschungsprojekt "Musikentwicklungsplan der Stadt Ingolstadt" 🎵

Die Stadt Ingolstadt (Kulturamt Ingolstadt) und die KU wollen gemeinsam die Kultur- und Regionalentwicklung stärken. Dazu soll ein „Musikentwicklungsplan“ erstellt werden. Ziel ist es, die Musiklandschaft in Ingolstadt systematisch zu erfassen, Stärken und Defizite zu analysieren und aus den Ergebnissen Entwicklungspotentiale für die Zukunft abzuleiten.

Auch die Vernetzung zwischen Akteurinnen und Akteuren im Musikbereich soll verbessert werden. Die Untersuchung umfasst sowohl musikalische Institutionen als auch Musikgruppen und Musikveranstalter. Seitens der KU wird das Projekt von Prof. Dr. Daniel Mark Eberhard (auf dem Foto links) und Dr. Sezgin Inceel betreut.

In einem ersten Schritt sind alle Akteurinnen und Akteure aus der Ingolstädter Musikszene eingeladen, an einer Online-Umfrage teilzunehmen.
