These days, our nursery children have been enjoying our special Come and Craft afternoons, where parents are invited into school to get creative alongside their little ones! 🎨

Together, they have been making colourful bracelets, beautiful flowers, and lots of other summer-themed creations. It has been wonderful to see the children spending quality time with their parents in the environment where they learn, play, and have fun every day.

Our Come and Craft sessions are still ongoing, and we look forward to seeing more happy faces as families continue making special memories together!

We are proud to celebrate the achievement of our Year 12 student Aadithya who has received an honorable mention in the Singularity: AI Essay Contest. This international competition is organised by Veritas AI, an educational organisation focused on artificial intelligence that challenges high school students to explore the future of AI through argumentative writing.

This year, the contest attracted more than 500 submissions from 50 countries, with essays evaluated through a double-blind review process by researchers from MIT, Yale, and Oxford.

Congratulations to Aadithya for his Honorable Mention, awarded for a thoughtful essay on the intersection of AI and economics, examining how society can balance technological progress with responsibility toward workers.

We would also like to recognize another Year 12 student, Nemat, who was shortlisted in the same competition 👏

Well done both!

On May 21st we celebrated the graduation of our Year 13 🎓

Fifty-seven students, representing 16 different nationalities, closed a special chapter of their lives surrounded by the families who supported them during these years. For 10 of these graduates, St. George’s has been home for over a decade. And for all of them, it has been a place of growth, friendship, and learning.

The ceremony was filled with moving speeches, a beautiful piano performance by Hanu, one of our own students, and four special awards recognising those who truly embody our school values. Afterwards, students, families, and teachers gathered for a reception to celebrate and say a final farewell to the school.

To our Class of 2026, we are so proud of your growth and everything you have achieved with us, and we cannot wait to see you shine in the world 💙

We had a fantastic day at the BIS athletics meeting on Saturday, with all five St. George’s athletes performing brilliantly and representing the school extremely well.

Special mention to Sophie M for finishing 1st in the 100m, 800m and long jump, as well as 3rd in the high jump. Bella T achieved 2nd place in discus and 3rd in the 100m, and Rufus secured 2nd place in the shot put.

Thank you to BIS for hosting such a fun and well-organised event.

After a thorough application and election process, Sera and Aadithya, both in Year 12, have been appointed as our new Head Students. This is an important leadership role, representing the student body and acting as a link between students and staff.

Upon hearing she had been appointed, Sera said she felt gratitude, followed quickly by a determination to make a real difference for every student, adding that the role is “not just a title, but a chance to amplify every student’s voice and give back to a community that has thoroughly shaped who I am.”

Aadithya shared that he is excited about “building new relationships with teachers and students, while maintaining a positive environment in our school community”.

Congratulations to both, we are looking forward to seeing you succeed in this new role!

Year 5 had an unforgettable visit to the Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt .en - the German Space Operations Centre 🚀

Students saw real-time mission control in action and viewed live images of astronauts aboard the International Space Station, gaining a fascinating insight into how international teams work together in space exploration.

Across three hands-on workshops, they stepped into the role of young engineers: designing and launching water rockets to test aerodynamics (discovering that a quarter-filled bottle achieved the highest and longest flight time of over 7 seconds), and exploring magnetic forces by constructing models that demonstrated levitation and zero gravity principles.

Throughout the visit, students showed outstanding curiosity, teamwork, and exemplary behaviour, earning many compliments from staff at the centre. A very successful day!
