My class is learning all about spring at the moment so I’ve created a new board game for them. ⠀

I love using games in class as they get everyone excited, motivated and they’re an amazing way to practise English! ⠀

This is a snakes and ladders game and it’s all based around spring. The classic elements of snakes & ladders are still there. If you’d land on a snake’s head, you must slide down its body but if you’d land on a ladder you can climb to the top. ⠀

But I’ve added in some extra elements too!
There are 3 different sets on cards:⠀

🌸 If you’d land on a flower, you take a flower question card and answer it. ⠀

🦋 If you land on a butterfly, you take a butterfly card and answer the Would you rather…? question.⠀

🐝 If you land on a bee, you take a bee card, look at the picture and say what spring words you can see. ⠀

This is a great game for speaking practise, spring vocabulary revision and getting to know each other. I can’t wait for my kids to play it tomorrow!

If you’d like to play this Spring Snakes & Ladders game in your class, you can find it on eduki. (ID: 1973206)⠀

My class have been learning all about axolotls and one of the activities we did was this lapbook I created for them. ⠀

There are 10 information cards that the students use to complete the different activities in the lapbook. The cards cover covers like:⠀

- basic facts⠀
- appearance⠀
- anatomy⠀
- diet⠀
- character⠀
- predators⠀
- habitat⠀
- life cycle⠀
- fun facts⠀

The 6 activities in lapbook provide the kids with a fun and creative way to learn all about axolotls. ⠀

My class loved making their lapbooks and they learned so much about axolotls! If you’d like to do this lapbook with your class too, you can find it on (1971209)

I had to move classes two weeks ago and my new class looks after an axolotl so at the moment we‘re learning all about the axolotl life cycle! ⠀

My class is made up of three different year groups so there are lots of different English levels in the class, so all the activities are differentiated. That means that each kid can work at their level. ⠀

I created a vocabulary wheel for the kids that wanted to have their own reference guide of the basic stages. It‘s a nice, quick and easy craft that‘s really useful!⠀

I also created colour A4 versions of the life cycle that the kids could use to practise the different stages. They either have the pictures of the life cycle that they then need to add the text to, or they have the text and need to add the correct pictures. Each version comes in 3 different levels. ⠀

The last activity that I created for the life cycle in a Montessori circle. This is a great activity for the kids to try and put all the parts together on their own, in pairs or in larger groups. ⠀

They kids have really loved learning about axolotls. They‘ve also been working on a lapbook that I created for them which I will show you the results of soon! ⠀

If you’d like to teach your kids all about through cycle of an axolotl, you can find the activities on

It’s back to school tomorrow and to start off 2026, we’re going to play Dicebreakers! ⠀

Dicebreakers is the fun icebreaker with dice.⠀

It’s the perfect activity to get everyone speaking English again and to talk about their thoughts and opinions. ⠀

I’ve just finished a New Year version of Dicebreakers and that’s what the kids will play tomorrow. ⠀

Students take it in turn to roll both dice, and then they answer the question that matches those numbers. ⠀

If you want to extend the activity, you can get the kids to pick questions for the class to debate, discuss or present. They can also use the questions for writing activities. ⠀

If you’d like to play New Year Dicebreakers in your class, you can find it on (ID: 1821845)⠀

I’ve uploaded some other new Dicebreakers games too:⠀

I’m going to be practising past simple with my kids this week and to keep them motivated, I’ve created some new Christmas task cards! 🎄⠀

There are 10 task cards in total. Each card takes them through the different aspects of past simple. There are regular and irregular verbs. There are positive and negative statements. There are questions, error correction and finishing with their own writing task.⠀

I’ve also created some star verb puzzles to help them learn the irregular verbs. There are 20 verbs in total and these are the verbs that once created all the sentences around in the task cards. The students can put the star puzzles together by matching the infinitives with the last simple. There are also 2 worksheets for them to practise the verbs too. ⠀

I think the kids are going to really enjoy working with the cards! If you’d like to use these cards in your class, you get find them on (ID: 1786079)⠀

If you’d have my XXL Christmas bundle (ID: 464120) or my XXL past simple bundle (ID: 1115785), then you get these new Christmas past simple task cards for free!

I’ve created a new Find it! Write it! activity but this time with a zombie twist! 🧟‍♀️⠀

I love this activity because I can do it with different levels/age groups, the kids can move around and burn off some energy and it’s a great way to practise either reading or writing and present continuous. ⠀

Level 1 is the Find it! activity:⠀

🧟‍♀️ Hang up the pictures on the wall in the classroom or out in the corridor.⠀

🧟‍♀️ Give each student a Find it! worksheet.⠀

🧟‍♀️ Students read a sentence on their worksheet and walk around until they find that picture. Once they’ve found it, they write that number next to their sentence. ⠀

🧟‍♀️ Students continue until they have matched all of the sentences to all of the pictures. ⠀

You can do a shorter version by just using cards 1-12 and the small worksheet. If your students can’t read well yet, you can shout out the sentences and the kids have to run about trying to find the correct picture. ⠀

Level 2 is the Write it! activity:⠀

🧟‍♀️ At this level, the students only get a worksheet with numbers on it. They find a picture, look at the number on it, and then write a sentence about what the zombie is doing.⠀
Example: A zombie is frying a brain in the frying pan. ⠀

I’ve also included flashcards of the main verbs. For the lower levels the verbs are in the gerund; grilling, chopping, mixing ….. For the higher levels, I’ve written the verbs as infinitives. ⠀
You can use the flashcards to teach the verbs or to help them during the activity. You could also use them afterwards for a miming game! ⠀

There is also a Montessori circle which is great as consolidation. You can print it smaller for individuals or partners, or you could print this larger version and the class can build the circle together. ⠀

If you’d like to work with the zombie kitchen in your classroom. You can find this on eduki. Check the flags below for the correct country.⠀

If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know how much I love a chant! (And not just because I canny sing!! 🤣)

I’ve written this chant for my kids for the new school year which will hopefully motivate them to get back into learning English!

I love chants because they’re a fun way to start the lesson. It helps build confidence in speaking English and it’s a great way to learn new vocabulary/structures and to consolidate what they already learn.

Let me know what you think of it!

‘Stop,Go’ is such a fun game that works well with both younger and older language learners.

It’s a great game for the beginning of the year but you can actually do it at any time!

It’s also a game that you can keep adding to which will keep the game fresh and adding more commands will keep the concentration levels high too!

Let me know if you’ve already done this activity with your kids and if they liked it. It’s always a big hit with my classes!!
