We explored the incredible materials animals use to build their homes and asked ourselves: what truly makes the perfect structure? From cozy nests to complex hives, there was so much to discover for kids, families, and curious minds of all ages. 🐜✨Did you know animals are the ultimate architects?

Yellowjacket wasp nest found in a unused bird nest box. It has a beautiful structure, like a four layer cake! The large cells were built for future queens and drones, instead the smaller cells were for workers 🐝🐝🐝😃

Why so many animals are attracted to the lavender plant? what are its proprieties and benefits? 🐝🦋🐞
What a wonderful time we had together with the International Montessori English Speaking Preschool e.V. children in exploring all the proprieties of this special plant, and for what we use it. We also had lots of fun in making lavender bags for home 🪻😍

We went on a red berry scavenger hunt in Perlacher Forest today! We are learning all about their unique properties, how to identify them, and which ones to avoid. 🌿🔴

Nature walk through Hirschgarten ! 🌿🦌
We went looking for clues of who lives here and ended up finding so many cool signs! Aside from visiting the famous deer enclosure, we noticed loads of invertebrates, bird holes high up in the trees, mushrooms, unique tree bark and fox feeding remains 🦊🦌🐀🐦🐾🪲🐞🐜🔍😃
