You may have heard of the English term "𝐠𝐚𝐩 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫" in TV shows or films about teenagers and students 🙋👩🎓
👉 Gap year is a period, typically an academic year, taken by a student as a break between school and university or college education.
In Europe and the United States it is common practice for graduates of schools to take a gap year before attending college or university. This gives them the opportunity to decide on their future profession and prepare themselves better for entry. Also, a lot of graduates use this time to save money for their univer dreams.
🎓 He spent a gap year in Japan learning judo.
🎓 Students who come here after a gap year are more mature, more focused.
But learning English is a good idea not to put it off 😉
