Unser Gymnasium ist jetzt staatlich anerkannt! 🎉😁🪄🪅

Unserem Jules Verne Gymnasium wurde mit Wirkung zum 01.08.2026 die Eigenschaft einer staatlich anerkannten Ersatzschule verliehen. Wir gratulieren unserem Schulleitungsteam Christine Riedl und Andrew Hill sowie dem gesamten Team herzlich zu diesem außergewöhnlichen Erfolg!

Dieser Meilenstein ist das Ergebnis jahrelanger engagierter Arbeit und ein starkes Zeichen für die hohe Bildungsqualität am JVC.

The next leg of our JVC journey begins with Dukes Education! 🧑‍🎓🧶🦉🌠

During Journey Day to kick off the school year with our team, we came together to celebrate an exciting milestone: joining the Dukes Education family.

At the event, we thanked the visionaries, partners, and investors who helped build JVC over the past 13 years from Campus Pro and SBW Haus des Lernens. It was an emotional moment to say good-bye to our previous CEO, Dr. Christian Ebner, and SBW partners Reto Ammann, Jan Schneider and Christoph “Bo” Bornhauser. At the same time, we warmly welcomed our new partners from Dukes Education, David Fitzgerald, CEO of Europe and Philippe Grosskost, General Manager of Central Europe at Dukes Education. We can’t wait to host another event on October with all JVC parents in which Chairman and Founder of Dukes Education, Aatif Hassan, will personally welcome JVC to the Dukes family.

How did we combine our annual theme “Seid’s freidlich, Be Kind!” with this exciting news? With giant customized Lebkuchenherzen! Both leaving and new partners received one, and the gingerbread heart was also the superstar of our collaborative mural on our annual theme on Campus this year, also created on Journey Day.

No worries: Our top-notch team, leadership, children, learning partners, and educational concepts, offers, and services will stay the same. But we are thrilled about the opportunities this partnership will create: a broad, international network, opportunities for staff, and a strong partner for development and continuing our journey toward new horizons.

First Day of School 🌞🥳🆒🐣

A new learning year has begun at JVC, bringing with it excitement, fresh starts, and plenty of memorable moments. For our new grade 1 Sapphire, Topaz, Jade and Peridot learning partners, it was their very first day of school. For others, it was the beginning of a new chapter as they began grade 5 in the JVC Grammar School. Together with families, friends, and staff, our school community came together to celebrate the start of another year filled with growth and discovery. As always, we welcomed our newest learning partners with one of JVC’s most treasured traditions: passing through the green tunnel for their "magic moment." With this symbolic step, our newest learning partners officially became part of the Jules Verne Campus family. To welcome them and introduce this year's annual theme, “Seids freundlich, Be Kind,” every first-grader received a ginger bread heart, a sweet reminder that small acts of kindness can make a big difference. The real excitement came for the little ones when a truly stunning selection of school cones, filled with surprises, could finally be opened!

Meanwhile, our new Gymnasium students received their very own airline trolley for storage of their school materials, a symbol of the journey ahead, and a sunflower, a symbol of growth.

LEGO Serious Play Workshop 🐥🎡🤩

Unser neues Lernjahr haben wir bereits letzte Woche mit einer vielseitigen Onboarding & Workshop Week gestartet. In der Vorbereitungswoche sind die Workshops aber nicht für die Kinder, sondern für ihre pädagogischen Begleiter. Diese erwartete ein facettenreiches Fortbildungsprogramm, das von Passion in Pedagogy über Gesundheitsangebote bis hin zur Coaching-Methode LEGO Serious Play (LSP) reichte. Gemeinsam mit Anna von Flüe tauchten unsere Teams aus Kindergarten, Grundschule und Gymnasium in die Welt des „Denkens mit den Händen“ ein. Bei LEGO Serious Play geht es darum, Ideen nicht nur zu formulieren, sondern sie zu bauen. Mit LEGO-Steinen entstehen neue Perspektiven und unerwartete Denkwege, die oft zu überraschenden Einsichten führen. Das macht LSP zu einem wichtigen Tool für Coaching, Ideenentwicklung und den Austausch mit anderen, denn die Workshops zeigten, dass viele Wege zum selben Ziel führen können. Geduld und Verständnis für andere Sichtweisen standen im Vordergrund. Zum Abschluss der Weiterbildung gab es sogar ein Zertifikat. Besonders schön: Die LEGO Serious Play-Sets stehen ab jetzt allen ausgebildeten Coaches am Campus zur Verfügung, damit kreatives Denken und das Entdecken neuer Perspektiven auch über die Trainingswoche hinaus fester Bestandteil unseres Campuslebens bleiben.

Seid's freindlich, Be Kind 🐥🎡🤓

On Monday, we kicked off the new learning year with our annual Journey Day, a special tradition with JVC staff that introduces the theme guiding us through the year. Last school year, we celebrated Stay Playful, Be Curious. This year, our focus is on one of the most important foundations of a strong community: kindness. Our theme for 2026/2027 is Seid's freindlich, Be Kind. In an increasingly polarized world, kindness can make a big difference. A genuine smile. A moment of attention. A simple act of care. It is this spirit that turns a school into a true safe haven, a place from which the world can be explored with curiosity and an open heart. With this in mind, we used our Journey Day to spend time together, welcome new and familiar team members back to Campus over a shared lunch, and create our collaborative mural in the heart of JVC's Oasis. Journey Day also served as the perfect kick-off for our annual Training & Onboarding Week with insightful sessions for our educators such as Lego Serious Play, Attachment Education, Wellbeing, and finding Passion in Pedagogy as well as basics like Data Protection, First Aid, and Fire Safety. Equipped with team support, we look forward to bringing the spirit of kindness into our community throughout the next year of learning at JVC.

Bilingualität ist ein fester Bestandteil des Jules Verne Campus.🐦🫂🆒

Wir verstehen Sprache als verbindendes Element, das unterschiedliche Länder, Menschen und Kulturen miteinander verbindet. Am JVC sind daher Deutsch und Englisch gleichermaßen ein fester Bestandteil des Alltags.
Ein ausgewogenes Verhältnis zwischen deutsch- und englischsprachigen Pädagogen sorgt dafür, dass die Kinder kontinuierlich mit beiden Sprachen in Kontakt sind und diese intuitiv aufnehmen. Die Kinder tauchen nach dem bewährten Immersionsprinzip (engl. to immerse: eintauchen) in beide Sprachen ein. Englisch wird nicht als Fremd-, sondern als natürliche Zweitsprache erlebt, die sich ganz selbstverständlich durch den Alltag zieht und diesen lebendig gestaltet.

Bilingualism is an integral part of life at Jules Verne Campus.

We see language as a powerful means of connecting people, cultures, and countries. For this reason, both German and English are woven into everyday life at JVC and play an equally important role in our educational approach.
A balanced team of German- and English-speaking educators ensures that children are continuously immersed in both languages and acquire them naturally and intuitively. Following the well-established principle of language immersion, children are encouraged to "dive into" both languages in their daily routines. English is not experienced as a foreign language, but as a natural second language that becomes an integral part of everyday life, enriching and enlivening children's interactions and learning experiences.

Summer Break Activities ⛹️‍♂️🫟🌞

All of a sudden, we find ourselves in the final stretch of the long summer break. Soon, Campus will be bustling with familiar faces again, but for now, our Hort kids are still enjoying all the extra space they have to themselves. With the school playground being almost entirely theirs, they have claimed it as their summer headquarters: a place for games, cricket, and even graffiti and mural-making. As the countdown to the new learning year begins, they're also making sure that Campus looks welcoming, colorful and fresh for when everyone else returns on September 15th.

Fostering Future Skills 🦸‍♀️🪢🧳🐦

The starting point of our approach to learning and teaching is the question of what kind of society we want to live in. As our world is increasingly shaped by uncertainty and change, preparing children for the future becomes ever more important. What do young people need today not only to become active members of society, but also to shape their own future?
Our answer to these questions is to foster Future Skills weaved into our daily teaching and learning. Future Skills go beyond the curriculum and focus on developing and strengthening personality: Passion, Resilience, Global Identity, Sustainability, Acting Outside the Box, and Entrepreneurship.
By teaching learning partners how to pursue their goals, navigate change, take responsibility, and experiment with creative solutions, we aim to strengthen future generations of empathetic and enthusiastic people who are aware of themselves and the environment they live in.

Schwimmstunden 🤽‍♀️🤿🐬

Während Grundschule und Gymnasium sich noch in den Ferien befinden, steht im Kindergarten bereits ein neues Abenteuer auf dem Programm:
Unsere KiGa-Kinder sammeln ab jetzt ihre ersten Erfahrungen im Schwimmen. Letzte Woche ging es direkt mit einer ersten Testrunde los. Spielerisch lernen die Kinder Bewegungsabläufe im Wasser kennen, gewinnen Sicherheit, schlagen Wellen und entdecken, welche neuen Horizonte sich ihnen nun eröffnen. Zwischen gezielten Übungen, kleinen Herausforderungen und dem Planschen im Pool-Nudel-Salat lernen sie die Grundlagen für einen sicheren Umgang mit Wasser. Dafür haben wir uns extra eine Schwimmtrainerin mit ins Boot geholt, die auf Wassergewöhnung von kleinen Kindern spezialisiert ist. Besonders im Kindergarten ist es uns wichtig, ein Umfeld zu schaffen, das sich wie ein Heimathafen anfühlt, von dem aus die Kinder zu neuen Entdeckungen aufbrechen. Deshalb achten wir gerade bei den Sport- und Bewegungsangeboten für unsere Kleinsten darauf, dass sich alle stets wohl, sicher und gut begleitet fühlen.
