FS Germany 2026 Recap 🇩🇪
Another incredible week at our home race, the Hockenheimring, has come to an end! From August 11 to 16, our team put CARO (CM-26x) through Scrutineering, Statics, and Dynamics. New challenges showed up, from tight scrutineering margins to battery issues. But what defined this week wasn’t the setbacks, it was how the team responded to them: working all day and night, troubleshooting under pressure, and getting back up to try again. 🙌
In the end we passed every technical inspection, clocked 4.06 seconds in Acccelaration, and completed the Autocross. Along the way, we still picked up solid results in the Statics: 27th in Cost, 30th in Business Plan, and 55th in Engineering Design.
Endurance, the final and toughest test of the week, ended early after an unexpected electrical issue. It was a disappointing way to close out Dynamics after everything the team put into getting there. But it’s also a reminder of what this competition is really about, and we’re taking that lesson straight into our final event of the season.
Beyond the numbers, we were glad to welcome so many sponsors, partners, and supporters to our pit throughout the week, including representatives of DHBW Mannheim’s Rectorate, Freundeskreis, and long-standing partners of the team. Thank you for taking the time to visit us and share the Formula Student spirit with us. 🫶
Every single team member had a hand in getting us through this week! Whether it was in the pit, the camp, on the tools, or behind the scenes. That’s the kind of performance and resilience we’re genuinely proud of, and it’s exactly what we’re taking with us into FS ATA this September. ❤️🇮🇹

FSG Day 6 🇩🇪
On our final day at the Hockenheimring, we got Caro race-ready one last time and rolled out for Endurance — the ultimate test of the whole competition.
We were ready to go right on schedule, but a small technical issue in the queue meant our run got pushed to the end of the session. After tracking down the issue, our first driver finally got CARO out for lap one. 🏎️ Towards the end of lap two, we unfortunately ran into an unexpected electrical dropout that couldn’t be fixed from inside the car, bringing our Endurance run to an early end.
This was a huge disappointment for the whole team. We worked incredibly hard over the past weeks to get CARO ready for this moment, and having our Endurance come to an end because of a small, unexpected issue was especially tough. But that’s Formula Student — and we’ll take this experience with us.
With that, our FSG 2026 journey was complete. We packed up our pit and camp and closed the week with some well-deserved pizza, the Award Ceremony and the FSG Party. 🎉
A huge thank you to everyone in our team for the incredible hard work over the last weeks. ❤️ We’re proud of what we achieved together, and we’re already looking ahead: we’ll keep working hard to come back stronger and more successful at Formula Student Italy. 🇮🇹🏎️
Thank you FSG — see you next year! 🏁

FSG Day 5 🇩🇪
We started the day strong by passing the Brake Test after fixing yesterday’s issues! 🔧✅ Right after, we headed into the Rain Test — passed! 🌧️🏎️ Our car was officially ready for the track.
At Acceleration, we set a solid 4.06 s on our second run! Unfortunately, a front wing issue slowed us down, but after a quick fix, we finally made it to Autocross. We completed our run successfully and passed Post Scrutineering! 💪
We also received the Static Event Results:
🥈 27th Cost — 60 pts
🏁 55th ED — 60 pts
📊 30th Business Plan — 57.3 pts
Wow, FSG is almost over! One last day — time to recharge, give it everything we’ve got and finish strong! 🔥🏎️

FSG Day 4 🇩🇪
We kicked off the day by securing our E-Scrutineering & DV sticker after completing the remaining points, followed by the Drivers‘ Egress. ⚡✅ Next up was the Brake Test. Unfortunately, we ran into issues with the tyre lock-up, which cost us valuable time and meant we couldn’t make it to the Rain Test. Both will be continued the following day!
A highlight of the day was welcoming some very special guests and supporters to our pit! We were honored to welcome Michael Lang, Chairman of the Freundeskreis of DHBW Mannheim, Mrs. Kohr from the Rectorate, and our Faculty Advisor Bernd Deimel. Later in the afternoon, we were happy to welcome the Rector of DHBW Mannheim, Prof. Dr. Baumgart, and the Vice Rector for Technical Faculty, Prof. Dr. Mühlhan.
Thank you very much for taking the time to visit us, for your interest in our project, and for your continued support! We were proud to show you our pit, our car, the iconic Hockenheimring, and share a little insight into our FSG journey! 🙌
Tomorrow, we‘re back at it - finishing the Tests and pushing forward! 💪🏻

FSG Day 3 🇩🇪
We started the morning by completing our Mechanical Scrutineering, ticking off the remaining points and passing successfully! ✅ Next up was Electrical Scrutineering. We ran into a few hiccups, which meant we couldn’t finish everything today, but we’ll be back tomorrow to get those final points. ⚡
In between, we tackled the Statistic Events: a solid Business Plan session in the morning, followed by Cost and Engineering Design in the afternoon. Both were great challenges and gave us takeaways for next season. 💡 📊
Now we’re looking forward to tomorrow: finishing our E-Scrutineering and pathing the way for the Dynamic Events! 🏎️ 💨

Yesterday was an absolute hustle from start to finish! We jumped right back into Accumulator Re-Scrutineering first thing in the morning, and all the hard work paid off: we officially secured our very first sticker of the competition! 🎉
Right after, we headed over to the iconic start-finish line to get our official team picture taken. 📸
By the afternoon, we transitioned over to Mechanical Scrutineering. With the tight schedule and time running out, we had to carry over the remaining inspection points to today.
We wrapped up the day at the Team Welcome, where the incredible Formula Student spirit was on full display once again! 🏎️✨
