++++Third Place at the Social Pitch Contest++++
Here are some pictures of our team members Leonie and Nick at the Q - Summit, where we had the honor to receive the Social Pitch Contest's third place award!
Once again we would like to thank the Q - Summit for giving young startups a platform to share their ideas, goals and visions with a larger audience, as well as our team members for their performance and dedication.

On Thursday we had the chance to live the Q-Summit - one of Germany’s most important conferences for entrepreneurship and innovation solely organised by students - experience first hand.
As a social startup, we participated in the Social Pitch Contest, where we presented our project idea and had a brief Q&A session with a body of experts. This gave us not only the opportunity to share the stage with other amazing social startups and entrepreneurs, but to receive feedback from a jury of experts and, most importantly, share our vision and goals with a large audience.
Today we would like to share with you not only some impressions of our Q-Summit experience, but the news that we made it into the Top 3 and won the Third Place at the Social Pitch Contest! With the prize money - 200€ - we will continue to develop and work on our product.
We'd also like to thank Q-Summit again for giving us the chance to participate in the competition and for giving young startups a platform to present their ideas.

Once again and for the first time as «MoustiCare», members of our project headed to the beautiful city of Heidelberg in order to run some more tests on our prototypes.
This time, we had the support of fellow members of Enactus Mannheim and of some of our friends, who kindly helped us carry out the tests. :)
We would thank them for taking time to support us (especially during finals' period) and would also like to take a chance to thank the «Tropeninstitut» of the University of Heidelberg and all of our partners who have helped us through these intense semesters.
2018 might be about to end, but we will continue working very hard and giving our one hundred percent in 2019, so stay tuned! 😃

++++++++From Project Soap to MoustiCare++++++++
2018 has been a very exciting year for our team. We worked harder than ever to improve our product, and even achieved our milestone of flying down to Togo in the summer.
Today, we not only celebrate those achievements, but we embrace a new chapter by saying goodbye to our old name, Project Soap, and officially introducing you to MoustiCare.
But, what does MoustiCare stand for? The name encompasses the key trait of our product and our ultimate goal: protection.
"Moustiquaire" is the French word for mosquito nets, which are conventionally purchased to keep insects away and protect against bites. In addition, "care" comes from our desire to offer people a product that can be used to prevent and tackle serious diseases, especially Malaria.
But even if our image and name have changed, our goal remains the same, and we will continue to work very hard so that MoustiCare becomes a reality.

At Project Soap, our ultimate goal is to create a product that can help people protect themselves against mosquitoes and the diseases they carry. That's why it is extremely important to us to make sure that our product really offers that kind of protection.
Last week, some of our team members headed to Heidelberg in order to test our new prototypes, and we could not be happier about the results!
We learned a lot about our soaps and got very useful feedback, which enables us to further improve our product. As a result, we will be working extremely hard in the coming weeks so that we can, ultimately, help fight Malaria and vector-borne diseases.

What a better way to spend the weekend than working on something new!
Just a few days ago some of our team members headed down to the Seifenoase in Offstein in order to prepare and cook some new prototypes, which have now been cooled down and are completely ready to be tested.
Here you can see some pictures of the cooking process!

Project Soap's main goal is to create a product that can provide protection against mosquitoes and the diseases they carry. One of these diseases is Malaria, which happens to be one of the primary causes of death in the African continent.
In order to assess the Malaria situation in Togo, team members of Project Soap took over the task of visiting local healthcare stations, where they had the chance to talk to the staff. This did not only provide us with more knowledge about Malaria, but it also proved once again the importance of our project.
The visit was a reminder that we should keep working hard in order to improve our product so that we can help fight this disease.

A necessary step when preparing to sell a product abroad is getting to know both the local target market and the locally-used products.
During their stay in Togo, members of our team took on the crucial task of performing a thorough analysis of the soap market over there. By doing so, our project can offer a product that fulfills the expectations and needs of the customers, enabling us to both reach more people and protect more lives against Malaria.

+++SUMMER PLANNING - PROJECT SOAP GOES TOGO+++
The summer might have just started, but that doesn't mean Project Soap has stopped working ;)
During the past few weeks we have discussed the possibility of flying over to Togo, and now it's decided: we will be visiting the African country this summer!
Our last team meeting was full of energy, ideas and brainstorming for the trip and we will be working extremely hard to ensure everything goes as planned. Join us on this journey and stay tuned for more updates!
