Esudh Info Page This is the mailing list of the European Summer University in Digital Humanities "Culture & Technology". The list is open to everybody interested in the summer university.
Dear all,
we are really very sad that we have to announce that due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis the 11th European Summer University in Digital Humanities "Culture & Technology" scheduled 28th of July - 7th of August 2020 at the University of Leipzig needs to be postponed to 2021 (3rd to 13th of August 2021).
We have tried to keep up hope for us as the local team, for the workshop leaders and lecturers, for the applicants and interested people as long as possible to gain time and understand the developments better, but the latest regulations with respect to travel restrictions, the fact that boarders remain closed, the new regulations with respect to physical distancing, and the situation at the University of Leipzig force us to take a decision now.
We are confident that we can transfer the rich workshop (http://esu.culintec.de/?q=node/1216) and lecture (http://esu.culintec.de/?q=node/1322) programme we managed to put together thanks to the collaboration of workshop leaders, CLARIN-D / CLARIAH-DE and the lecturers to the next year. A new deadline for applications will be set in due time.
For information on the European Summer University in Digital Humanities "Culture & Technology" please consult the new website https://esu.fdhl.info. Temporarily information will be available also on the previous website http://esu.culintec.de/.
We hope that everybody, and especially the members of the ESU DH C&T community, their families and friends are all doing well, that they are finding ways of coping with these very strange and worrying times, and that they can also get some good out of a very different way of living.
With our best wishes and many hopes,
Elisabeth Burr for the whole ESU team
