Nautitec Shiphandling Simulator and Training Centre is located in Leer, Germany. NAUTITEC was founded by Hermann Buss and Alfred Hartmann in 2007.

The philosophy of both founders is to support the maritime education at the location LEER as well as to support young students in their aim to start a career at sea! This philosophy is part of our mission. We cooperate very closely with the HS Emden / Leer, FB Seefahrt Leer in respect of training and research projects. Students are a most welcomed part of our team and they always have a chance to

The entire Nautitec team would like to congratulate the team from the Pilot Association Emden and Meyer Shipyard to the successful transfer of their latest cruise liner “Odyssey of the Seas” from Papenburg to sea.
We are proud to have been part of this project with our simulation partner Wärtsila Voyage and our staff’s expertise and skills.
With only 10 days of preparation time, we successfully executed a high-end simulation of the Odyssey`s river-passage on a scientific level and are glad to have seen simulation become reality once again.
NAUTITEC is your best choice for tailor made advanced high-end consulting and simulation solutions!

Thomas Schulte Ship Management --- Simulator Exercise
--- Large vessels in confined waters---

Together with Nautitec Leer, TSM has conducted a simulator based exercise to train our Masters in behavior of large vessels in confined waters. Aim of the 2-day course in Leer was to practice in the simulator all the maneuvers, which a large vessel would in practice try to avoid. So our Masters had the chance to practice bank effects and other hydrodynamic phenomena by going on the edge of the manoeuvrable capabilities of a 115.000 tones bulk carrier. With the assistance of a state-of-the-art simulator these scenarios could be trained as realistic as possible. The same simulator is even used by Australian pilots for their trainings.

The conveyance team for the Floating Engine Room Unit (FERU) of upcoming AIDAnova successfully completed the most sensitive part...the passage of Kiel Canal.
In palm distance to the lock heads the FERU passed the chambers in Kiel Holtenau and Brunsbuettel without any damage of both the FERU and the locks.
The FERU is now set to call Emden port in the early evening of Wednesday and will continue to Meyer Shipyards in Papenburg on Thursday morning.
Nautitec is proud to bring that project to success and thanks all involved parties for their effort
