Department of Diversity and Social Conflict offers seminars and thesis supervision on citizenship, immigration, anti-racism, religion, ethnicity and gender-related topics. We are interested in theoretical and empirical work on everyday and institutional racism, political participation of immigrants and minorities in Europe, intersections of gender, race, class, and sexuality, and refugee movements. In these themes, we aim to bring historical depth, contextual comparisons and methodological (particularly qualitative or mixed methods) analysis of current controversies in the European and transnational contexts.
