🇲🇾 Endoscopic Spine Surgery in Action in Kota Kinabalu

There was a lot of learning and plenty of exchange at the 13th IMSSSC Pre-Congress Workshop held at Hospital Queen Elizabeth I in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia.

By combining expert-led education with live endoscopic spine surgery and practical simulation training, the program provided a valuable opportunity to exchange practical experience and surgical techniques.

We would like to express our special thanks to Dr. Withawin Kesornsak and Dr. Manmohan Singh, MD, for performing the live surgeries; to all the faculty members who shared their expertise; and to our local partner, Verity Medicare, for their support in making this workshop possible.

Advancing Endoscopic Spine Surgery in Tanzania 🇹🇿

We recently connected with Dr. Nicephorus Rutabasibwa from Tanzania for a virtual training session on endoscopic spine surgery.

Together with Dr. Buenymin Ilgin, RIWOspine Instructor, and Diana from Medpace, we exchanged clinical experience, discussed practical aspects of endoscopic techniques, and introduced the training and technology approach.

The session also explored how reusable instrumentation, TipControl, controlled irrigation, and 4 MHz RF technology can support endoscopic spine surgery.

🇯🇵 RIWOspine Japan was pleased to co-host the first FESS/AFESS Surgical Technique Study Group Cadaveric Workshop at Nagoya City University Graduate School of Medical Sciences.
Under the guidance of Dr. Yasuhiko Nishimura and Dr. Koichiro Ono, seven orthopedic surgeons and neurosurgeons gained hands-on experience and deepened their understanding of FESS and AFESS techniques.
Thank you to our instructors, participants, and everyone who helped make this first workshop a success!
