The end of the year is nearing and we wanted to share with you, how many people our advisors reached: Over the last three years over 40.000 people were reached by the Fair Integration advice centres.
They were informed, adviced and guided – sometimes in short talks or in group settings, sometimes over the course of weeks in individual consultations.
This number not only comfirms how important the work of our advisors is but also how many wrong-doings, unfair treatments and labour law violations are happening.

What are the problems courier drivers face daily?
Many drivers who speak with the advisors of Fair Integration report the same problems: They often have too many packets to deliver in a short time. The time pressure leads to unsafe driving or unpaid overtime, which impacts the health and safety of the drivers directly.
If they complain they often get fired or ignored. Since many of the drivers from third countries (outside the EU) are struggling with language barriers or their stay in Germany is dependent on their job – they often feel helpless.
Our advisors reach out to them, to inform them about the possibility of counselling and help them exercise their employment rights.

Can you be dismissed if you are ill?
Yes, you can be dismissed even if you are ill. The rules on protection against dismissal also apply in this case: If you work for more than 6 months in a company that has more than 10 employees, you have statutory protection against dismissal.
