Being a mom is the most powerful role I know, and no single day can capture it 🌺
A day late, intentionally 🌸
Yesterday was Mother’s Day in Germany, and yes, I’m posting today because Sunday should be a business-free zone. I spent the day with my kids, which is exactly the point, isn’t it. Just chaos, laughter and the good kind of exhaustion at the end of the day.
🌺This is a very special post, as I’ve never shared so many photos of my kids online, and even fewer in a business context … even though you can’t see their faces. But the truth is, they’re a huge part of my life and I don’t feel like hiding them – at least not today.
I recommend watching 🎥right to the end; there’s some uplifting dance music about mothers coming up. All credit goes to the creator, heidirojasmusic.
The short and the long version
🌸 Short version: being a mother is beautiful and challenging, often in the same hour. 😅
🌸 Long version: there is simply no LinkedIn post long enough to hold years of motherhood, so instead, just some quite spontaneous personal thoughts. Special greetings goes out to my mom who visited me on every big adventure, slept in an open air hostel 🤭 with 60 people on a 🪸 coral island in the pacific and much more.
🗺️ What I know for sure
Yes, things have improved. Flexibility has grown compared to when I became a mom. 👏 But let’s be honest: that flexibility does not reach every industry, every small town, or every family situation equally. How much support you receive depends enormously on how much family you have around you, and that gap is very real. 💬
🏗️ Still so much to build
The truth is: we still need far better social and structural conditions that make it genuinely easier for mothers and families to balance everything. 💪 The reality out there looks very different from what the glossy magazines suggest. Not every mother lives in a big city with a flexible employer and a support network around the corner. There is an enormous amount left to do, that topic alone could fill an entire post. 📢

What I experienced at tech show Frankfurt 🧠 and why it stayed with me -💡 3 key learnings
Hey Mates & hello World Citizens!
👾 First impressions that stayed
Tech Show Frankfurt - Big Data & AI -starting today this year again 👩💻- is one of those events that sticks with you. I went there back than, without big expectations, didn’t know a single person… and left with a network full of inspiring minds.
Important note: watch until the end – there’s a funny AI quote at the end of the video 😄. Let me know what you think of it! And yes, I felt like choosing some club music today.
🌈 Funny side note – for the first time ever, there was a queue in front of the men’s restroom, not the women’s. A small, ironic moment that also highlights a bigger truth: we still need more diversity in tech. 🤵♀️ At first, I felt a bit of „schadenfreude“, it was nice to see the guys finally experience what we go through all the time, but then it made me think, and I realized that it’s actually sad that there are so few women in tech.
🤝 Real connections over buzzwords
What impressed me most wasn’t just the tech – it was the people. Open conversations, zero ego, and a genuine curiosity to connect. I met brilliant professionals, including strong women in AI who are truly shaping the field. Two young women from BASF especially stood out – sharp, energetic, and deeply knowledgeable. I had seen them before in a “Women in AI & Robotics” Workshop and listened to their data Podcast – but meeting in person hits differently.
🎤 What to expect this year
The Tech Show Frankfurt 2026 takes place at Messe Frankfurt in Germany, one of Europe’s leading exhibition venues. The event typically runs across two days in May and brings together thousands of data, cloud, and AI professionals. It features multiple stages including Big Data & AI World, Cloud Expo Europe, and Data Centre World. You can expect keynote talks, panels, and hands-on insights from industry leaders. It’s a great mix of enterprise, startup, and research perspectives all in one place.

🎡 Kicking Off CloudFest 2026 at Europa-Park 🎢 Where Cloud, AI and Fun Collide
Hey Mates & hello World Citizens!
On Monday, CloudFest 2026 🌧️ kicked off again at Europa-Park in Rust, and the cloud universe officially went into festival mode. It is the perfect playground for anyone mixing AI, robotics, and internet infrastructure in real life projects.
My first CloudFest Monday 🎢
Last year in 2025, I walked into CloudFest on a Monday for the very first time, wide-eyed, slightly overwhelmed, and already calculating latency while queuing for coffee. 😄
The very next day I started my new role as Chief of Staff (COS), and on day two in that job I went straight back to CloudFest, because where else do you onboard yourself to a new role than in the middle of thousands of cloud nerds and server-throwing enthusiasts.
Why CloudFest is special 🤖
CloudFest is not just another conference; it is four days (March 23–26, 2026) of deep tech talks, wild ideas, and surprisingly good hallway conversations in Europa-Park. 🎡 You get cutting-edge sessions, a CloudFest Village with street food and a Server Throwing Arena, legendary parties, and, if you like rollercoasters, the full Europapark experience; I am not into rollercoasters at all, but I still absolutely love the atmosphere there.
Speakers I’m excited about 🎙️
This year’s speaker lineup is stacked with people who actually build the future we keep presenting in our slide decks. 🌐 A few highlights I am personally looking forward to include Ram Mohan (Identity Digital), Rebecca Hinds (future-of-work expert), Roger Rohatgi (Chief AI Officer at Chai), Brewster Kahle (Founder of Internet Archive), and Radia Perlman (often called the “mother of the internet” for spanning tree).….more in the comments…

A Pineapple 🍍Meets a Robot 🤖– My Logo Journey
The Unexpected Challenge Behind a “Simple” Logo 💡
Hey Mates & hello World Citizens! First, I officially want to wish you a happy new year! 🎉
Ever had that one project detail that turns into a personal mission? That was me with my new logo. I almost gave up, but after a few obstacles and countless redesigns 🧠, it finally came to life just in time for 2026. 🚀 My goal wasn’t just branding, it was creating something that truly captured my mission in AI and robotics education.
A Logo with a Story to Tell ✨
Since I don’t work for a large corporation, I could’ve changed my design anytime — but that wasn’t the point. I wanted something deeply mine, something that reflected my workshops and consulting services in AI 🤖, both for adults and children. Balancing these worlds turned out to be trickier than programming a robot with a sense of humor – ok, I exaggerate 😅.
Why a Pineapple? 🍍
Good question, it’s not random! For me, the pineapple is a symbol of fresh ideas and intercultural connection, inspired by my workshops I offer across the South Pacific, Japan, and Spain. It’s friendly, a little exotic, and full of personality. But when my focus shifted more toward AI and robotics education for companies and schools, I knew I needed to infuse a bit of tech ⚙️ playfulness too.
From Brain Icons to Neural Crowns 🧠
Let’s be honest, logos with robot hands or brains are everywhere. I wanted something more original. That’s when the idea of a pineapple-Robot hybrid sparked. The “crown” 🌿became a nod to neural networks, with stylized nodes resembling AI connections. If you know the field, you’ll catch the reference, and if not, it still looks refreshingly cool. 😎
Keeping It Simple (sort of) ⚙️
As a creative type, I tend to overthink every pixel. Thankfully, a wise designers in the www reminded me: a great logo must be simple. I reined in my wild ideas, staying focused on clarity and flexibility.
🎨The result? A black-and-white core version for documents and a colorful variant for storytelling and videos. Minimalist yet meaningful, that’s the sweet spot I reached after countless months and dozens of sketch➡️comments
3 Brilliant Ways AI is Supercharging 🚗 Automotive Design ✏️ and Engineering 🚗

It’s like having Leonardo da Vinci and Isaac Newton collaborating on your car design!
🧠 Smart Material Selection: Choosing materials? AI’s got it covered! 🧪 These smart systems can analyze and suggest the perfect materials for each component, optimizing for weight, strength, and cost.
🎄 Christmas traditions from my childhood and 22 cool 🧊 activities for an analog winter break without AI & LinkedIn ✨ Mini Winter Series 🌟 Part 1:
🎁 Today, something a bit more personal - video featuring my kids 👦🏻the first time here 🫶🏻 After a year full of AI tools, metrics, and tech updates, we all deserve a little analog magic, don’t we?
As someone who grew up where Christmas wasn’t religious but still magical,I still remember how we celebrated Saint Nicholas on 6 December, with excitement, a few company Santa events 😉 and somehow always with gifts under the tree even though money was tight.
🎅 Later, I got to experience Christmas in four different countries – and each one had its own charm. But the Black Forest, where I live now, truly has something special during this time: silence, mist, sometimes snow, and time for reflection – once the rush is over.
So, if you’re planning a winter break without, prompts or LinkedIn scrolls – here come my first 11 ideas to spark inspiration.
🧠 And yes, those are all my own human ideas, all tested out personally, no LLM 🤖hallucinated this.
🌟 11 Tips for a digital-free holiday (Part 1 of 2)
1. Visit Christmas markets at the right time 🎄✨ 🎄✨ I came up with this idea years ago because I really don’t enjoy big crowds. That’s why I always go very early in the season, right after the markets open in November, when hardly anyone is thinking about them. The best time though is after Christmas, between the holidays, when it’s calmer and more peaceful.
2. Go ice skating, it’s pure winter fun ⛸️❄️ 3. Hand out silly Santa hats and see what happens – joy is contagious.
4. Drive to nearby mountains and enjoy a little snow (or just the frosty view).
5. Buy your Christmas tree early and keep it longer for extra coziness.( more in the comments)
