Innovation, future, and focus - A place to move forward.

21/08/2026

We’ve told you who they are. Now, what are they going to talk about? 👀

You’ve met the speakers.
You’ve read their stories.
You know where they come from.

But there’s one thing we haven’t revealed yet:

What are they bringing to the TEDxKarlsruhe stage?

The questions they’ve been asking.
The ideas they’ve been working on.
The things they believe need to change.

We’re about to reveal the topics behind the talks.

One by one. 🔴

Some might challenge what you believe.
Some might give you a new way of looking at something familiar.
And one might be exactly the idea you needed to hear.

Stay close. The first topic reveal is coming.

What can you expect at TEDxKarlsruhe this year?

Not just a day of talks.

You can expect 10 speakers with 10 different stories, ideas from different fields, and conversations that might stay with you long after you leave the room.

You can expect to meet people you probably wouldn’t meet in your everyday life, students, researchers, entrepreneurs, creatives, professionals, and curious minds from different backgrounds.

You can expect music, performances, unexpected moments, and a few surprises along the way.

And for the first time, the stage isn't only for our speakers.

🔥 The gives participants the chance to step forward and share an idea, a question, or a story of their own.

Come to listen.
Come to meet people.
Come to question things.
Come with an idea.

You never really know what you'll take home from a day like this.

What do people overlook when attending a TEDx talk?

Most people come for the 12 minutes on stage.

But the talk is only one part of what happens in the room.

They overlook the person sitting next to them.

The conversation during the coffee break.
The unexpected introduction.
The question someone asks after a talk.
The person working in a completely different field who sees the same problem from another angle.

You may forget parts of a talk.

But you might remember the person you met because of it for years.

That’s one of the reasons we bring people from different backgrounds together at TEDxKarlsruhe.

And this year, we're taking it one step further with the Open Spark Stage—giving participants the chance to move from listening to sharing.

So when you come to TEDxKarlsruhe, don't only ask yourself:

“What am I going to learn?”

Also ask:

“Who might I meet?”
“What conversation could start here?”
“What idea could I bring into the room?”

🎤 Speaker Spotlight: Meet Ayimire Dilimulati

Ayimire Dilimulati is a biomedical engineer, published researcher, and founder of a bio-deep-tech startup, where her work connects medical technology with personal health data and prevention.

She has published peer-reviewed research on patient-specific polymer plates for reconstructive surgery, and her work spans biomaterials and DNA-based sensing. Today, she is exploring how individualized supplements, controlled-release delivery, and longitudinal blood biomarker data could make health guidance more personal and evidence-based.

For Ayimire, this work is more than research.

The question became personal when her father developed diabetes after years of high-stress work, with little practical guidance on how to respond. That experience reinforced her belief that healthcare should help people long before disease appears.

Selected for Germany's EXIST Women programme, Ayimire also volunteers as a fundraiser for an NGO in Madagascar that provides medical care to children, women, and families. Her work is driven by one conviction: the next breakthrough in medical AI will depend not only on better algorithms, but on better data about people while they are still healthy.

At TEDxKarlsruhe, Ayimire will share her vision for a future where prevention is personalized, data empowers healthier decisions, and innovation helps people take ownership of their wellbeing.

And this year, the conversation doesn't end with our speakers. Through the , members of our community will also have the opportunity to share their own ideas, stories, and perspectives.

🎤 Speaker Spotlight: Meet Martin Maier 🎉

Martin Maier is an innovation leader in healthcare at Philips Healthcare. For more than 25 years, he has worked at the intersection of patient impact, clinical needs, medical technology, and global strategy, from developing life-saving monitoring solutions to shaping enterprise innovation portfolios.

What drives Martin is a simple question: How can technology become truly meaningful for the people who need it most?

His perspective has been shaped by decades of work in healthcare technology, where he helped develop and launch patient safety solutions. It has also been deeply influenced by his long-standing engagement with Mobile Hilfe Madagaskar e.V., where he witnessed how access to healthcare can mean far more than treatment, it can bring dignity, hope, and a healthier future for entire communities.

Today, Martin is bringing that same vision into a new entrepreneurial journey: developing individualized supplements based on blood biomarkers to make personalized healthcare simpler, more accessible, and more meaningful.

At TEDxKarlsruhe, Martin will invite us to look beyond what technology can do, and ask what it can awaken: responsibility, hope, and the courage to build a future where innovation truly serves humanity.

And this year, the conversation doesn't end with our speakers. Through the , members of our community will also have the opportunity to share their own ideas, stories, and perspectives.

🎟️ Join us on 10.10.2026 and be part of a day filled with ideas, meaningful conversations, and new perspectives.

🎤 Speaker Spotlight: Meet Serena Hatfield🎉

Serena Hatfield spent over a decade working across innovation management, publishing, and education, and helped run some of the very systems she now questions.

She earned a Black Belt in Innovation Management, published ten books through the publishing house she cofounded, and was voted most trusted teacher by the kids of an alternative school in Berlin.

She now runs Studio Hatfield, a consultancy, and is setting up the Radical Hope Club, a school for adults who haven't given up. Both are based around the same question: why do capable people get stuck? Her career has been a game of Twister with a single red line: change.

Today, Serena is building the case for Evolutionary Intelligence, the capacity changemakers carry and institutions have never learned to measure.

Join us on 10.10.2026 to discover Serena's perspective and the ideas she will bring to the TEDxKarlsruhe stage.

And this year, the conversation doesn't stop with our speakers. Through the , members of our community will also have the opportunity to share their own ideas, stories, and perspectives.

Innovation Leadership Change

07/08/2026

We have something new this year.

For the first time, we're opening the stage to you.

Not because everyone has to be a speaker, but because we've all had moments where we've thought:

"I wish more people could hear this."

Maybe it's an idea you've been thinking about for months.
Maybe it's something you've learned the hard way.
Maybe it's a question that keeps coming back.

Those are the kinds of ideas we want to hear.

The Open Spark Stage is a chance for members of our community to step onto the TEDxKarlsruhe stage and share what matters to them.

No long presentation.
No need for a big title.
Just an idea that starts a conversation.

If reading this makes someone come to mind, maybe that someone is you.

Our Idea Board is now open. ( Link in the bio )

Share your idea, secure your ticket, and join us on 10.10.2026.

We can't promise where one idea will lead.

But we know that every meaningful conversation starts because someone decided to speak first.
