The Four ‘C’s of Bow Technique 🎻 1. CALM 2. CONSISTENCY 3. CONTROL 4. CONTACT My VIP students have heard me discuss all four of these elements of bow technique in our weekly classes. It’s important to be able to Control the bow without losing good Contact with the string from frog to tip. And when you’re able to maintain Calm and Consistency throughout the length of the bow, you’re able to develop a better legato and singing quality to your musical lines. 🎶 Great for those concertos, sonatas, solo Bach, or tear-jerking slow movements, 🥲, or pianissimo passages in orchestra. And by the way, thanks everyone for cheering me on after I’ve ruptured my ACL. It’s been 30 days since I completely tore 💥 my ACL in my knee during flying kicks in the karate 🥋 dojo.
