Hammer Hardness – What's Your Preference?
When restoring a piano, do you prefer soft, medium, or hard-pressed hammerheads?
At ABEL, we believe the best hammerhead is the one that gets you as close as possible to your desired tone before voicing even begins.
That's why our hammerheads are intentionally pressed slightly on the firm side (medium-hard). This means:
✅ Less voicing work
✅ Greater tonal consistency
