Nah bro… here’s the real game:

1️⃣ Bachelor’s Degree & Transcript

Must be attested by your uni.

Then attested by HEC.

Then attested by MOFA.

Basically… everyone must stamp it till the paper feels like a passport.

2️⃣ Intermediate / A-Levels

Same story… attested, stamped, sealed, and blessed by the elders.

3️⃣ Birth Certificate / B-Form

NADRA-issued.

If you’re above 18, this will feel useless but still required.

4️⃣ Translations

All non-English docs → German or English translation by a certified translator.

Google Translate won’t cut it. (Trust me, the embassy will laugh.)

5️⃣ Other Add-ons

Passport (valid at least 1 year)

IELTS / TOEFL score (if required)

Marriage cert. if you’re taking your +1.

When you’re moving to Germany, IELTS is like that one cousin at a wedding — sometimes invited, sometimes not, but everyone keeps asking about them.

💡 Here’s the tea:

If you’re applying for English-taught programs → IELTS is usually required (6.0–6.5 band minimum for most unis).

If you’re applying for German-taught programs → IELTS is about as useful as a samosa in a swimming pool. You’ll need a German language certificate instead (usually C1 level).

Some unis also accept TOEFL or proof of English medium education — but don’t assume, always check the uni’s website.

🎯 Pro tip: Even if the uni waives IELTS, having it can make your visa process smoother — the embassy likes to see proof you can speak something other than “Yes, no problem, brother.”

So, should you take IELTS?
If your course is in English → Yes.
If in German → Save that money for currywurst.
