The last two and final legs are in the books 😊 from Wick to Esbjerg in DK after immigration we continue to Uetersen airfield the new home of “EL TORO”. What a trip!

Greenland to Iceland (BGQO-BIRK) was the most beautiful part of the trip by now! The high mountains and endless ice plateaus are stunning. Some heavy clouds and a little ice on the way to Reykjavik. Then we stayed two days in Reykjavik and waited that the iceing conditions get better. Today we flew from Reykjavik to Wick in Scotland (BIRK - EGPC) beautiful views over the tops of the volcanos and mountains of Iceland. Then we passed south of Faroe Islands on the way to Wick. Tomorrow the next leg to Denmark and Germany ✌🏻

Second leg of today, Qaqortoq Greenland to Reykjavik Iceland. What a beautiful view of the icecap in Greenland! Landed right before dark in Reykjavik.

A little weekend work 😊 installed an overhauled Franklin 6 cylinder and inspected and powder coated engine mount on this beautiful Stinson 108. Next is a new prop, engine monitor and a new instrument panel with new avionics 😍 stay tuned.

This is why a detailed inspection annually is so important. Corrosion on wing spar blocks can make a pretty bad day 😬 three of four were heavily corroded and disintegrated themselves. A steel bolt in a aluminum block is prone for corrosion, especially if moisture is added.
