Zombification is contagious, and even we aren't immune to it. When a major film franchise like Resident Evil returns to the big screen, you can count on us to get swept up in it—and to make sure our series is teeming with zombies, too.

Here in the U.S., the mood has changed: The new school year has begun, and students are flocking back to campus. That seems like the perfect time for a few ethically questionable research projects. Time flies when you’re having fun, and it seems like our summer days are numbered. Soon we’ll be wearing jackets again, drinking hot cocoa, and enjoying everything with a pumpkin flavor. Time for a little taste of Halloween, don’t you think? This week we have a true classic and a flagship of the genre on the program, and as it happens, the characters here also have only a few days left to enjoy their time in the sun.

It’s been a while since we’ve had any political intrigue here in our series. And since we’re about to head into fall—that cozy slash horror season—we definitely need to explore other genres in our weekly series. This post is packed with intrigue and thrills, and it’s even historical fiction! Well, at least the original version is, sorta.
