Attending the Universität Hamburg Master of International Business and Sustainability (MIBAS) Summer School of Sustainability would mean studying at the biggest research and education institution in Northern Germany. On Monday, we already confirmed the three seminars that we will be offering during the Summer School. Now, we are also able to provide you with more detailed information on the contents of the respective courses. Just have a look!

Good news! We can already confirm the final selection of courses for our Summer School 2017 :-)
Each of the three courses will look at the concept of sustainability from a different perspective - from an organizational, financial and ethical one. After the successful completion of the courses you will not only have gained valuable insights into various approaches to Sustainable Business Management, but will also have improved your discussion, presenation and academic writing skills!

After the Summer School is before the Summer School!! ;-)
Today, the new winter term has started at Universität Hamburg and we are already putting together the program for our next Summer School of Sustainability which will take place in June/July 2017.
Information on the included modules and planned activities will be posted on this page in the course of the next few months.

Picture Time!
Last Friday we set out on our excursion to the wind farm Francop and Obsthof Bey in Altes Land. We got to know W.E.B. Windenergie's business model, heard about a pioneer wind energy project and were given the opportunity to look inside the tower of a wind turbine. At Obsthof Bey we learnt everything there is to know about the cultivation of apples and the challenge of sustaining traditional business practices in our modern industrialized world.
It was a day full of interesting insights, fun activities and tasty local specialities. Thank you all for joining! :-)

The first day of our MIBAS Summer School of Sustainability was a great success! We had a super interesting debate on CSR, Germany won against Northern Ireland, the weather was amazing, the food delicious and the surroundings absolutely beautiful!

The Guest House of Universität Hamburg is all set for tomorrow's first lecture "International CSR Reporting" by Prof. Dr. Alexander Bassen. What a beautiful building and what an amazing learning atmosphere :)

! MIBAS Debates - Football game - Summer Party !
We would like to cordially invite you to an evening of interesting insights, exciting football and lots of fun!
Date? Tuesday, June 21st
Location? Hamburger Segel Club (right next to the Alster lake!)
Entrance fee? None :)
We will kick off the event at 4.30 p.m. with the 10th MIBAS Debates on CSR. This debate's topic will be "Sustainable Palm Oil - Trick or Treat?", with guests from Beiersdorf, Cargill and WWF. Following the debate there will be the possibility to watch the football match Germany/Northern Ireland, to grab a bite to eat or to simply sit back and enjoy a cold drink. And at around 8 p.m. we will then officially ring in our first MIBAS Summer Party! Dance, chat, relax or enjoy amazing views across the Alster - either way it will certainly be a night to remember!
