Job Opportunities in the Project “Climate Emotions,” Cluster of Excellence “Climate, Climatic Change, and Society (CLICCS)” The anthropological project “Climate Emotions” investigates how people in different contexts emotionally respond to climate change and what consequences these responses entail. To advance this research in close collaboration with sociology and the wider interdisciplinary team, we are offering three positions. - Postdoc position, two years, 100 % focussing on soils in Namibia: - Postdoc position, three years, 100 % with a focus on theory development: - PhD position, three years, 65 % to conduct a case study in a Non-European context, preferably India or South Africa, but open to other suggestions, preferably rural area Find full descriptions and apply on our website:

We are pleased to announce the first speaker in this summer’s Anthropology Colloquium. Apostolos Andrikopoulos will present a talk titled “As Brothers We Love One Another: Relational Work in Identity Loan Practice Among Unauthorized African Migrants.” The lecture will take place on Tuesday, April 14, at 6:00 PM in the Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology, Seminar Room 222 (ESA West). Please note that, starting this term, the colloquium will begin promptly at 6:00 PM. We kindly ask you to arrive on time.
