From NIT Alumni to Global Deep-Tech Pioneers! ✈️
Earlier this week, we we’re thrilled to welcome two very special guests back to our campus: Alexander Kasinec (CEO) and Andrew Moakes (CPO), Co-Founders of Evitado Technologies, who were at the NIT with their team to host a workshop!
Both Alex and Andrew are proud NIT alumni who launched Evitado's success story during their time studying here. What started as a bold idea on campus has grown into an international scale-up with locations in Germany (Hamburg) and the USA.
What does Evitado do?
The team is revolutionizing aviation and ground operations: Using LiDAR-based systems and intelligent software, Evitado prevents aircraft collisions during ground handling, saving the industry millions in damages while paving the way for autonomous airside logistics.
From Campus to the World – Backed by EXIST
Evitado’s journey is a prime example of what happens when academic spirit meets the right founder ecosystem. A vital catalyst on their path from prototype to market entry was the EXIST Grant — and Evitado is far from an isolated case! The NIT is proud to serve as a launchpad for numerous groundbreaking startups that have successfully transitioned from research to the global market with EXIST support.
