Your brain is wired to feel good when you help others.
Dopamine. Purpose. Connection.

That’s why volunteering feels powerful.
Through Be Life, volunteers in Indonesia and Malaysia are turning action into impact:

- Cleaning rivers and lakes
- Sorting plastic waste
- Creating products from recycled materials
- Learning eco-crafting from indigenous artisans
- Sharing cultures and stories with local communities

It’s more than volunteering.
It’s rewiring how we see the planet and our role in protecting it.
Real impact starts with showing up.

This isn’t a trip. It’s a perspective reset.

Sleep under rainforest skies.
Track wildlife at dawn.
Protect ecosystems that can’t protect themselves.
Learn from communities who define resilience.

You arrive curious.
You leave changed.

🌍 Cameroon is calling. Are you listening?

Not all travel leaves footprints.
Some helps protect them.

From safeguarding wildlife in Cameroon to empowering communities in Indonesia and Malaysia, this volunteer program work on real challenges, not staged experiences.

Less sightseeing. More impact.
Less posing. More purpose.
What story will you bring back that tourists never can?

If the forest disappears, what disappears with it?

Not statistics. Not headlines.
Home. Identity. Memory. Future.

Young voices from our SDW–ISA partner project in Brazil show what leadership really looks like. Not speeches. Daily protection. Care learned early. Responsibility lived, not discussed.

Their message is clear and uncomfortable:
Protecting forests is not charity. It’s a duty that crosses generations and borders.

Watch what protecting the future looks like when the future speaks. 🌱

Serving and protecting. But make it the forest.

In Northwest Cameroon, young people are doing exactly that.

Under the guidance of Desmond Fontoh, they created this video to show their bond with the forest they call home, not as something to use, but something to care for every single day.

Because when the forest is your heritage, protecting it isn’t optional.

This film, part of Forests Without Borders, amplifies voices that refuse to wait for someone else to act.

The forest is not theirs to exploit.
It is theirs to safeguard.

Your brain locks onto what feels personal.

Imagine this.
You grow up with a tropical forest outside your door.

This film was created by children in Lombok, led by Trisnawati our Fellow ISA 2024 and her triplets. Shot around Lantan, it shows how nature, family, and everyday life move as one system.

Their voices are young.
Their commitment is not.

Part of Forests Without Borders, this is what protecting home looks like from the inside.
What did your childhood teach you about nature?

Nature in the city feels different.
Quieter. Slower. More real.

Students from Gymnasium Hoheluft Hamburg explore the Niendorfer Gehege and share what the forest means to them.

Part of the Forests Without Borders project, this film shows how even urban spaces can become places for reflection, emotion, and responsibility.

🌿 A forest between streets.
🎥 Watch how it feels.

Forests aren’t just “nature”.

They’re memories, escape, calm, and future.
Students from the Brüder Grimm Stadtteilschule Hamburg explore the Volksdorfer Wald and talk about what it means to them, personally.

Part of the Wälder ohne Grenzen project, this film shows how young people connect with nature, not through theory, but through real experiences.

🌳 Different voices. Same planet.
🎥 Watch and listen.

A new year begins with responsibility✨🌱

Forests are more than landscapes, they are living ecosystems that protect climate, biodiversity, and our future.

In 2026, we continue our commitment to preserve, protect, and strengthen forests, through education, action, and long-term responsibility for generations to come.

🎄 Merry Christmas from all of us!

“The best gifts in life don’t come wrapped — they grow in forests and bloom in kindness.”

This year has been full of forest adventures, classroom laughter, scientific discoveries, and unforgettable friendships.

We’re grateful for every step, every story, and every seed of change planted along the way. 🌱

❄️ May this season bring you peace, joy, and moments that root you deeply, in nature and in community.

🌳 Unsere Wälder schützen – Protecting Our Forests Starts with Us

This powerful poster was created by students from Gymnasium Hoheluft and it’s a message we all need to hear.

From forest fires and climate change to mass tourism and urban expansion, our forests are under pressure.

These students didn’t just point out the problems, they offered solutions:
🔥 Avoid lighting fires or smoking in nature
🌡️ Reduce your carbon footprint
🛣️ Support eco-friendly infrastructure
🧳 Choose sustainable travel options

Every small action counts.
Every voice matters.

💚 Huge thanks to the brilliant minds at Gymnasium Hoheluft for using creativity to inspire real environmental change.

📸 Swipe to explore how we can all help protect the forests we depend on.
