TVET Hamburg welcomes CEOs and managers from Usbekistan to Hamburg

On invitation of the Ministry of Economics of the Federal Government, a group of 15 CEOs and managers informed themselves about VET training in Hamburg. During a visit of the VET School for Automotive Engineering (BS 16) on 16. May 2022 the experts from HIBB and BS 16 used the example of the automotive professions to give an insight into the theoretical and practical part of VET training. The advantages of dual training were highlighted very clearly in the presentations.

The CEOs and managers were particularly impressed by the well-organised close cooperation between schools and companies and the commitment of teachers and trainers.This also became very clear during the visit to Car and workshop house Audi and the conversation with the trainer and the students. In the end, the participants were very convinced of, that dual practice-oriented training is a successful way to gain qualified staff for the labour market.

A warm welcome to CEOs and managers from Ghana to Hamburg

Against the backdrop of the running reform of vocational education and training in Ghana, a group of 20 CEOs and managers from wood industry learned about dual vocational training, using the example of carpenters, on 5 May 2022. The experts from Hamburger Institut für berufliche Bildung (HIBB) and the VET School for Wood processing were able to convince them of the advantages of dual training with presentations on school-based training and an insight into practice. The participant’s want to integrate the knowledge gained and solutions identified into the ongoing reforms in Ghana in order to be able to recruit qualified skilled workers for the labour market as soon as possible.

The CEOs and managers were particularly impressed by the well-organised close cooperation between schools and companies and the commitment of teachers and trainers. This also became very clear during the visit to Carpentry Dehner and the conversation with the owner and the students. In the end, the participants were very convinced of why dual practice-oriented training is a successful way to gain qualified staff for the labour market.

Recently, against the backdrop of the running reform of vocational education and training in Ghana, a group of 20 CEOs and managers from fruit and vegetable trading companies learned about dual vocational training, using the example of training as retail salespersons. The experts from Hamburger Institut für berufliche Bildung and the VET School for Retail Trade were able to showcase the advantages of dual training with presentations on school-based training and insights into practice. The participants want to integrate the information gained and solutions identified into the ongoing reforms in their own country in order to be able to recruit qualified skilled workers for their own labour market.

This also became very clear during the visit to EDEKA and the conversation with the store manager and the students.
