IOGKF INTERNATIONAL MENTORSHIP COMMITTEE
The IOGKF Mentorship Committee consists of Sensei Tetsuji Nakamura (8th Dan, World Chief Instructor), Sensei Paul Nolan (8th Dan, England EGKA), Sensei Steve Gouldson (8th Dan, England EGKA), Sensei Gustavo Tata (7th Dan, Argentina) and Sensei David Lambert (5th Dan, Australia AOGKF).
Together this committee works to offer private and group mentorship opportunities to IOGKF members around the globe. From new member countries, instructors looking for mentorship or to develop themselves, or instructors looking for extra online training opportunities - the Mentorship Committee may be able to help. With 200 years of combined Karate training between them, the IOGKF mentorship committee reports directly to Nakamura Sensei. Several new IOGKF member country leaders have already experienced the benefits of online private and small group tutition from the committee and this group is making a real difference in helping to spread traditional Karate across the globe.

This august the 29th we will have an awesome opportunity to compliment our toolboxes for fighting.
There will be 2 training blocks:
10.00-12.00 and 13.00-15.00
The Muay Thai fighter Linda Faysal (Linda Faysal 🥊 Muay Thai Fighter in Thailand, where she has been training and successfully competing many years until now. Last year she won the German Muay Thai Championships (WBC), this year (2026) she won the International Muay Thai Championships!
Together we have been thinking about how we can support karateka and other martial artists to develop their full potential in fighting (which should be intended in martial arts).
Linda Faysal is a very skilled and experienced expert. She knows what she talks about, in her full contact competitions she has been learning to apply effective techniques and to act under stress.
At the same time she is also a very friendly, clear and structured trainer and personal coach. Our exchange about a possible seminar with Karateka was the most detailed discussion I ever had before a gasshuku. She took notes about ‚our‘ movement principles, struggles of many karateka in irikumi and other aspects and suggested those seminar blocks, that you can find in the program.
One focus will be to trap/fool opponents in a way, that they move into a favorable position.
In the second block Linda will guide us through training methods to prepare for a fight while staying injury free. We will take a lot out of this!
