🌱 Our hosting chair, the Chair of Corporate Sustainability at the Technical University of Munich (TUM School of Management) is looking for a Postdoctoral or Doctoral Researcher (50%-100%) starting from May 1, 2023. The contract period is 2 years (with the option of prolongation).

Your tasks would include:
💡Research in the field of sustainable entrepreneurship or informal entrepreneurship;
💡Joint scientific publications in leading international entrepreneurship journals;
💡Teaching at the Technical University of Munich;
💡Engagement in the TUM SEED Center.

🌍 Join The Africa Business Concept Challenge 🌍

👩🏽‍💻 ABCC intends to assist young people from the African continent who have an orientation and a desire to serve their . Student teams engage in a four-phased project development process where their are put up for sale on a virtual market on the Peaqs platform, a web-based game platform that combines a project development process with a virtual stock market engine for real-time valuation and peer feedback.

📚 GBSN welcomes undergraduate and graduate African students from any African (or African-affiliated) university. Student teams do not have to study business, but teams are required to have:

💡 2 or more currently enrolled students at the African or African-affiliated university

💡A relevant mentor, whether that person is a professor or entrepreneurial practitioner

💡Email addresses for each of the team members

💡Student teams can be mixed from different universities and backgrounds, and any sustainable business idea is welcome.

🎓 As part of our academic exchange program, Bouchra traveled earlier in September and met the local SEED team as well as researchers from different schools and departments at ITB.

📚 Teaching, conducting interviews, and exploring our SEED living lab were all part of Bouchra's agenda. That and visiting some coffee fields for a prime coffee experience! ☕😉

✨ Bouchra recalls amazing and warm hospitality from all locals as well as a reach exchange experience with students and researchers alike!

📍 MUMBAI, INDIA 🇮🇳

🚀 We have just returned home after a wonderful week spent with global SEED colleagues at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, for our annual Symposium meeting.

💡Delegates from all our partner universities were present and exchanged, across five days, on ongoing and future research projects, living lab developments, and potential private partnerships. All of this is in a great international collaborative spirit! 🤝

🤩 It was lovely seeing you all in person once again and we are looking forward to our next meeting in Ghana in 2023 🇬🇭👋🏽

☀️ The clip covered the official launch of the SEED center solar installation in the Kharoxas! community, in the outskirts of Windhoek, Namibia 🇳🇦

🤝 The kick-off event was also marked by the visit and attendance of the TUM SEED Center academic director. prof. Frank-Martin Belz, who was on an academic mission to the SEED center at NUST Namibia, our SEED partner.

Our doctoral researchers Sofia Abid , Bouchra Lamhamedi and Mohamad javad Bardi are conducting field research in Kenya, Indonesia and Peru, respectively.

Whether meeting and engaging with technology start-ups in Sillicon Savanah, interviewing land policy-makers or conducting biogas production workshops, our researchers are on the go and having fun along the way! 🥳

👨🏽‍🎓 Back in July, Mohammed Bendaanane, SEED doctoral candidate, took part in the Paper Development Workshop organized by the Academy of Management at the University of Warsaw, in Warsaw, Poland.

📚 With two preliminary paper ideas, the first “Entrepreneurial Opportunities and the Role of Intention in the Emergence of New Organizations” submitted for the Academy of Management Review, and the second “Plot twist - The Dark side of Entrepreneurship in Worsening Economic Inequality” submitted for the Academy of Management Discoveries.

✒️ According to the Academy of Management, “Paper Development Workshops are designed to provide authors with guidance and expertise in the development of their manuscripts for potential submission to an Academy journal.”

📢 The workshops are open to all Academy members, as well as non-members. If you are a researcher in Management and would be interested in publishing in an AOM journal, consider joining the Paper Development Workshops.
