๐ŸŒฑ On Soil Health and Food Systems Day at COP17 Mongolia, the spotlight is on the people shaping the future of our soils.

Young people are already leading restoration, agroecology, composting and soil stewardship across their communities, while women farmers are fundamental to food security, healthy soils and resilient agrifood systems.

This session will celebrate the International Year of the Woman Farmer 2026 and showcase women- and youth-led solutions, including the launch of the Manifesto Implementation Guide and the World Food Forum National Youth Chapter โ€“ Mongolia. It will also make the case for secure land rights, greater access to finance and meaningful participation in decision-making as essential foundations for a more equitable transition to healthier soils and resilient food systems.

Communities living near forests are often the first to spot pest outbreaks and changing forest conditions - but the communication linking that knowledge to program design, and field evidence to policy, has gaps at both ends.

IFSA is extending this opportunity beyond its membership, because leadership is not only about who is already inside the circle, but also about who is willing to step forward and serve. If you are eligible and ready, we encourage you to apply.

Did you know that regional collaboration and youth-led action are crucial to halting biodiversity loss across the globe?

From international negotiations down to grassroots conservation, understanding global commitments like the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KM GBF) is essential for young leaders driving real change. This session will explore how regional mechanismsโ€”led by the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity (ACB)โ€”bridge global biodiversity targets with regional and national realities across Southeast Asia.

Participants will discover how the ASEAN Youth Biodiversity Programme (AYBP) empowers youth across the region, creating spaces for young conservationists to influence policy, lead biodiversity mainstreaming, and take active roles in global environmental governance!

โœจ Featuring Insights on:

โ€ข Demystifying the CBD and Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KM GBF)
โ€ข Regional biodiversity cooperation and policy mainstreaming through ACB
โ€ข Practical pathways and entry points for youth engagement under the AYBP
