Between the 10th and 11th of February 2017 our Student Chapter has visited Herrenknecht, Black Forest Observatory and Wintershall's 3D seismic survey in Landau.
During the field trip we learned more about tunnel drilling and got to learn more about the geophysical side of it. We have also visited one of the top geophysical observatories in the world: the Black Forest Observatory. The highlight of the field trip on the following day was Wintershall's 3D seismic survey. It was a great opportunity to witness how a 3D seismic is done in a densely populated area and we got to see a modern wireless geophone system in action! We'd like to thank Wintershall for the great opportunity!
