📢 IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR STUDENTS TRAVELLING TO BELGIUM (2026–2027 ACADEMIC YEAR) 🇧🇪🎓

Congratulations to all students who have already secured their admissions to study in Belgium! This is a big step toward your international study journey.

We would like to share an important update regarding the student visa procedure.

The Embassy of Belgium has announced that a new student visa application procedure will be introduced for the upcoming academic year. As a result, the previous VIABEL procedure has been removed, and the embassy has indicated that the new guidelines will soon be published on their website and on the TLScontact website.

⚠️ At the moment, students cannot yet book visa appointments.
Applicants are advised to wait until the new procedure is officially released before attempting to book an appointment.

✅ What should students be doing now while waiting?

This is the best time to start preparing your documents so that you are ready once appointments open:

• Obtain your Police Clearance / Non-Conviction Certificate
• Certify or legalize the non-conviction document if required
• Prepare your Affidavit of Sponsorship (for those using a sponsor)
• Start your Medical Examination with the approved doctor
• Gather your academic documents (GCE Ordinary Level, Advanced Level, transcripts, etc.)
• Make photocopies and organize all supporting documents for your visa application

Preparing early will help you avoid last-minute stress and delays once the appointment system opens.
