Study-abroad program in Athens, Greece, organizing seminars on Greek literature, philosophy, and culture.
Our semester program is run in collaboration with the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Our programs are open to students of Classics, Philosophy, History, and related disciplines, as well as adult learners with an interest in Greek culture. All seminars meet both indoors and out, with some sessions taking place at the ancient sites themselves.

To my mind, the female body in the Neolithic period is the body of a mother.
I love it.
These are figurines from Sesklo, Aegina and Sparta, dating from ca. 6500 to 3300 BCE.

Andros is one of the Cycladic islands closest to Athens. You could get here in an hour from the port of Rafina. And it's certainly worth a visit - especially this time of the year, when it's not yet packed, so you can take quiet strolls and meet the locals.
The Hermes statue may be seen at the Andros Archaeological Museum.
