๐๐ต๐๐ฎ๐ป ๐ค๐ฎ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฆ๐ต๐ฒ๐ถ๐ธ๐ต is an active IEEE volunteer. He currently serves as of IEEE Young Professionals Germany, and works as an Engineer for Rail Infrastructure at Ramboll Deutschland GmbH in Munich. He holds a Masterโs degree in Infrastructure Planning from the University of Stuttgart. He is a recipient of the 2025 IEEE MGA Young Professional Achievement Award and the IEEE Young Professionals Hall of Fame Award, and is dedicated to strengthening industryโacademia collaboration and empowering young professionals.
๐๐ต๐๐ฎ๐ป ๐ค๐ฎ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฆ๐ต๐ฒ๐ถ๐ธ๐ต's IEEE journey began over 12 years ago as a Student Branch Secretary and has since evolved into an exceptional leadership trajectory across multiple levels of the organization, including serving as Section Student Representative and Region 8 Young Professionals Committee member. Ahsan is also an IEEE VoLT graduate and mentor. Before being elected Chair, he played a pivotal role as Vice Chair of IEEE Young Professionals Germany. Driven by his continuous engagement approach, IEEE Young Professionals Germany has experienced remarkable growth, surpassing 4,000 members this year and becoming one of the most active YP communities in the region.

Weโre proud to celebrate a major milestone from our Membership Development Team. In 2025, more than ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ฑ ๐บ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ were elevated to ๐๐๐๐ ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ป๐ถ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฟ status.
This achievement reflects the outstanding experience, dedication, and professional contributions of our members. Each new Senior Member received a beautiful wooden plaque from IEEE USA and a Senior Membership pin from the IEEE Germany Section.
A big thank you also goes to our reviewers, who generously contributed their time and expertise to evaluate applications.

From 28โ29 March 2026, the ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ฒ๐๐ต ๐๐๐๐ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ด๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ด ๐๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐ถ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฒ ๐ ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด in Helsinki, Finland, brought together volunteers from across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa to collaborate on the future of our professional community.

During the meeting, participants engaged in important discussions on:
- Concrete actions to help IEEE Region 8 reach 100,000 members by 2026
- The impact of AI and rapid technological change on careers and communities
- Strengthening membership value, engagement, and resilience
- Attracting and empowering the next generation of engineers
Beyond the formal sessions, the event also provided valuable opportunities for in-person exchange and networking, reinforcing the importance of collaboration across borders.
It is inspiring to see how many volunteers contribute their time and energy to move IEEE Region 8 forward, and especially encouraging to see strong leadership from the IEEE Germany Section within the region.
A big thank you to IEEE Region 8 (Europe, Middle East & Africa) and the IEEE Finland Section for hosting and organizing such a successful meeting.

The at Technische Universitรคt Ilmenau has grown into one of the most active student communities within IEEE Germany Section. Founded in late 2007 and officially established in January 2008, the branch connects students early in their academic journey with a global professional network and provides a platform for both personal and technical development.
The branch embodies โs core values: advancing technology for humanity, fostering knowledge sharing and innovation, promoting collaboration and global networking, and empowering students to grow professionally. Student Branch Ilmenau serves as a bridge between academia, industry, and research, offering students opportunities to develop both technical skills and leadership capabilities.
The branch organizes a wide range of activities, including technical workshops and training sessions, hackathons and hands-on learning events, industry visits, networking with international communities, knowledge exchange programs, and social events that strengthen teamwork and community spirit.
