We are excited to announce Dr. Hasenbeck as our 6th and final speaker at our TEDxFS event on May 8th.
Dr. Eva-Maria Hasenbeck is an ophthalmologist who is also a fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology (FEBO), a member of the Deutsche Borreliose Gesellschaft and an author. After suffering from symptoms of her Hashimoto's disease for over ten years, she was looking for ways to work on her health independently. That was when she discovered the power of Functional Medicine. Meanwhile, she is officially the first German physician certified by the Institute For Functional Medicine. At our event she will be speaking about her journey towards Functional Medicine in her talk titled “Medical Doctor is disrupting the current medical system”.

As our event’s attendees’, speakers’ and team’s health is our top priority during these unprecedented times and to abide by the current government and Frankfurt School regulations concerning the pandemic, we have decided to postpone TEDxFS 2020.

The event, which was due to be held on 14th November 2020, will be postponed to 8th May 2021. We will inform you about the specific details of the event in the new year.

Our decision was not taken lightly, but to ensure an enjoyable and successful event we have decided not to host the event digitally, as we believe it does not do justice to our speakers and the purpose of our event.

We look forward to hosting our event in spring 2021! Stay safe everyone!

Your body language may shape who you are | Amy Cuddy 16/08/2020

Body language affects how others see us, but it may also change how we see ourselves.
Amy Cuddy is a professor and researcher at Harvard Business School, where she studies how nonverbal behavior and snap judgments affect people from the classroom to the boardroom.
Amy Cuddy’s research on body language reveals that we can change other people’s perceptions — and perhaps even our own body chemistry — simply by changing body positions
In her Ted Talk the social psychologist shows how "power posing" - standing in a posture of confidence, even if we don't feel confident - can affect testosterone and cortisol levels in the brain and might even have an impact on your chances of success. To learn more about this interesting topic, check out the full Ted Talk in the Link below.

Do schools kill creativity? Back in 2006, Sir Ken Robinson posed this question to the TED audience and now over a decade later, it is still a relevant matter that is worth discussing.
In his talk, the creativity expert Sir Ken Robinson makes an entertaining and profoundly moving case for creating an education system that nurtures (rather than undermines) creativity.
