❎ Meet Jo Escobar aka Poppahontas 🌻

She was born in the Philippines and grew up in Mannheim, Germany. For the past five years, she has worked as a dancer and artist in the Ruhr area/Essen. With 14 years of experience in urban dance, she specializes in funk styles—particularly popping and locking. Her work includes stage productions, competitions, battles, event organization, teaching, and ongoing community Engagement & representing ☀️

She draws inspiration from the elements/nature, martial arts/gymnastics, and the many different music genres she listens to. She is a cheerful person and a true bon vivant in all situations.

For the past five years, she has been part of the Urbanatix family and has contributed to productions such as Urbanatix: Home, Essence, The Show, Time to Play, and other projects.

Fun fact: If she’s ever in a bad mood, give her something to eat, and she’ll be happy again in no time🍔🥘🍱
