What an incredible week for our regional startup ecosystem! Two packed days of fresh ideas, powerful conversations, and celebrating the people driving innovation forward. 🌟

Here are the highlights:
🏆 MöglichMacher Award & Conference Huge congratulations to our EIH partners TH Nürnberg and HS Ansbach for receiving this year’s awards! 👏 As partners in EIH Mittelfranken, we’re proud to build an ecosystem where university startup support thrives together.

🎪 START Nuremberg Innovation Festival From student founders exploring entrepreneurship to established startups and investors, the festival was buzzing with energy! Pitch sessions, panel discussions, and endless networking reminded us how strong our regional network really is. 🤝✨

A massive thank you to everyone who made these events happen. We’re heading back energized, inspired, and ready for what’s next! 💡🔥

🚀🎤 Pitching, Presence & Practice – DTA B #12 Workshop

Today’s workshop was all about one of the most critical entrepreneurial skills: pitching. 💡

To help our fellows sharpen their storytelling and presentation skills, we were delighted to welcome Yvonne Hefner, professional pitch trainer, leadership mentor, and 🏆 German National Champion of Rhetoric 2026 (Speech Evaluation category). Her expertise and insights made her the perfect coach for our participants as they prepare for the Final Demo Day.

The day kicked off with an inspiring keynote from our colleague Friederike Freifrau von Rodde 🌟, who shared her startup journey, including her experience on 📺 Höhle der Löwen. Her authentic insights into entrepreneurship, resilience, and pitching in high-stakes environments set the tone for the workshop.

Then it was time to get hands-on! 💪

🤝 Peer reviews and constructive feedback sessions
💬 Valuable coaching and group discussions

📅 With just four weeks to go until our final Demo Day, our DTA B #12 fellows are now even better equipped to take the stage with confidence, captivate their audience, and deliver compelling pitches. 🚀✨

Our DTA Mentors - Part 2!
Let’s see what excites them to mentor Batch # 12

Rodrigo Méndez Carrillo

I decided to join as a mentor because my experience as a Digital Tech Academy Fellow in Batch 11 was incredibly welcoming from the very beginning. The journey, the teamwork, the mistakes, the laughs, and the workshops all left a strong impression on me.

For me, becoming a mentor was simply a way to give back to a community that gave so much to me. Mentors ultimately just provide direction, clarity, and encouragement when teams are navigating uncertainty and building new ideas.

What has impressed me most about Batch 12 is how many strong personalities there are and how quickly they iterate through problems; that mindset is so important in entrepreneurship.

At the same time, the DTA management team creates such a warm and supportive environment that you naturally want to contribute and stay involved. In the end, communities like this are what help people grow, take risks, and build together.

It is an honour for me to be involved at the DTA as a mentor. I learnt so much myself as a participant and am delighted to be able to pass this on to the next generation. In doing so, I am still discovering new aspects of business design.

Mohammadreza Abdollahi

I’ve decided to reunite with the fellows who have a fresh perspective. This time, I’ll be the third person on the team, so I can assess how effectively I can utilize the tools and techniques I learned during my batch. So far, I’m convinced that being there as a supportive third person will help me deepen my understanding and learn alongside the fellows.
