📢Job Alert: PhD Position at Technische Universität Nürnberg in Cognitive Psychology

The Department of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences currently has an opening for a fully funded doctoral research opportunity (limited to 3 years) in the field of supervised by Prof. Dr. Magdalena Abel. You will contribute to cutting-edge research within the field of Cognitive Psychology and especially Human Learning and Memory. Potential topics include remembering in individuals, small social groups, and large collectives. You will also contribute to teaching in the field of Cognitive Psychology and assist with administrative tasks.

🧑‍🎓Your profile:

- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in , , or a closely related discipline

- The ideal candidate has experience in experimental and empirical research and a strong interest in Cognitive Psychology

- Solid methodological and statistical skills are required, as is excellent proficiency in both written and spoken English

- Programming expertise is a plus (but not a must).

Im Mittelpunkt des Forums stehen die Länder Mittelamerikas und der spanischsprachigen Karibik: Costa Rica, Dominikanische Republik, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Kuba, Nicaragua, Panama und Puerto Rico.

📢Job Alert: PhD Position at Universität Würzburg in the Regulation of early spliceosome assembly and splice site recognition

Applications are invited for a PhD student position in the Beusch group (Dr. Irene Beusch) at the Institute of Molecular Infection Biology at the University of Würzburg. The Beusch lab (www.beuschlab.org) is a young lab, aiming to build an international team of dynamic and collaborative scientists. They are committed to create an equal and inclusive work atmosphere and to solve fundamental questions surrounding the initial steps in RNA splicing regulation and spliceosome assembly.

🧑‍🎓Your profile:

- A Master’s degree in life sciences and a strong background in either RNA biology or

- Experience in , tissue culture and cell line engineering, RNA-seq data analysis, and bioinformatics is helpful but not mandatory

- Strong written and spoken English-language communication skills, and interest in working as part of an international team of researchers

- An interest in RNA biology, or desire to learn
