Let's ring in the New Year with some new vocabulary! 🥂🎊

💡 To ring in the New Year = das neue Jahr einläuten

💡 The phrase "Bottoms up!" is usually used in a more casual setting, associated with drinking quickly or drinking up on one go. During a toast, it can be used interchangeably with "Cheers!". It comes from the notion of tipping the bottom of your glass upwards to drink quickly!

💡A "firework display" is used to refer to a professional show that the public can gather to watch. If you set a firework off in your own garden, this is not usually big enough to call a "firework display".
