☀️ What a year to remember! ☀️

From welcoming new students and welcoming back our community to celebrating incredible achievements, this school year has been filled with unforgettable moments.

We kicked things off with the Einschulung, the wonderful German tradition welcoming our Year 1 students into Lower Primary, proudly carrying their Schultüten. From there, the year was packed with inspiring assemblies, drama performances, art exhibitions, Learning Showcases, Sports Days, competitions, exciting trips, innovative and enriching learning opportunities, and memorable community events, concluding it all with our Graduation and Prize Giving ceremonies celebrations at the end of the year.

Our students also took on lots of challenges, excelling in education, championships and tournaments, from GISST Volleyball and maths competitions to our Year 13 students achieving an outstanding average IB score of 38 points.

We also got to celebrate our community at the International Fair and Summer Fair, while sharing knowledge, information and educational insights through our Coffee Mornings and workshops.

🏆 Celebrating a year of growth, achievement & new beginnings 🏆

Our Secondary Prize Giving Ceremony marked the perfect finale to another unforgettable school year, celebrating the dedication, resilience and talents of our students. From academic success to outstanding character, every award reflected the hard work that has shaped this year.

The ceremony featured:
⭐️ Awards recognising our four core values: Curiosity, Courage, Confidence and Community
⭐️ Progress, Effort and Achievement Awards presented across every year group
⭐️ Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh certificates awarded to our participants
⭐️ Sports Awards celebrating commitment, teamwork and outstanding sportsmanship, with one exceptional student named Sports Student of the Year
⭐️ A heartfelt final speech from Dr Rosen as Head of Secondary before officially passing the role to Ms Mathews and beginning his new chapter as School Director of St. George’s Cologne

The celebrations were brought to life by outstanding performances by the school band, and ended on an exiting note, the final review of what next year’s school musical will be… Spamalot!

🌟 Celebrating Achievement, Leadership & School Spirit! 🌟

Our Primary Prize Giving Ceremony was a joyful celebration of everything our pupils have achieved throughout the school year, recognising their hard work, dedication and the values that make our St. George’s community so special.

Teachers and staff proudly applauded as we recognised:
⭐ Awards celebrating our four core school values: Confidence, Courage, Curiosity & Community
⭐ Progress, Effort and Achievement awards across each year group
⭐ A special handover of the House Captain badges to our new student leaders
⭐ The prestigious Dux title — awarded to the pupil who truly embodies what it means to be a role model at St. George’s. This year, the award was presented to Yat Laam.

We started an exciting new chapter in student leadership, with two of our House Captains also taking on the roles of Head Boy and Head Girl, bringing these leadership responsibilities together for the first time.

At the Prize Giving Ceremony we celebrated the many accomplishments of our pupils and reflected on another fantastic year of learning, growth and success. A memorable way to end the academic year and recognise the outstanding achievements of our Primary students.

🎉 A night to remember for our Year 6 students! 🎉

Dressed to the nines and ready to celebrate, our Year 6 students enjoyed a truly special evening as they marked the end of their Upper Primary journey.

From a sparkling welcome drink on arrival to dancing the evening away, striking poses in the photobooth, and enjoying delicious food and drinks, it was a fantastic celebration filled with laughter, friendship and unforgettable memories.

The Year 6 Ball was the perfect way to celebrate everything our students have achieved before they take their exciting next step into Year 7 and Lower Secondary.

We are so proud of each and every one of you and wish you every success as you begin this exciting new chapter✨

🌱 From garden beds to dining hall! 🥗

Since the Spring Term, our Gardening Club has been hard at work preparing the garden beds, planting a wide variety of vegetables, herbs, fruits, and flowers, and nurturing them with care.

Just before the summer break, students celebrated their first harvest, picking fresh kohlrabi and broad beans. These were delivered straight to our school dining hall, where they were transformed into delicious, fresh salads for everyone to enjoy!

The garden has become a living classroom, helping students develop teamwork, responsibility, perseverance, and a deeper understanding of sustainability and healthy eating.

This is only the beginning! Our Gardening Club will continue working with the dining hall, and we can’t wait to see what kinds of fruit, vegetables, and creative dishes flourish from this growing partnership.

✨ A celebration of creativity! 🎨

Before the start of the holiday break, Year 5 students showcased their incredible artistic talents in a special exhibition, displaying the fantastic pieces they created as part of their ‘The Art of Display’ project.

Throughout the term, the students explored not only how to create meaningful artwork, but also how presentation can enhance the way art is experienced. The exhibition gave them the opportunity to proudly share their creativity, reflect on their artistic journey, and celebrate one another’s achievements.

Well done to all of our talented Year 5 artists on a wonderful exhibition! 👏🌟

On the last day of school, our PE department also held their Sports Club Raffle: all students in Years 5 to 12 with 100% attendance and commitment to Sports Club throughout the year were entered.

The raffle was made extra special thanks to the very generous prizes on offer: four jerseys signed by Jamal Musiala , a former student of our school.

We’re proud to support our young athletes by combining a high level of education with the flexibility their sporting schedules demand. They are great source of inspiration for our students, setting an example of resilience and perseverance.

Many congratulations to our recent graduates and their exceptional IB results for 2026!

Here are some of this year’s impressive achievements:

⭐️ Average IB Diploma score: 38 points out of 45 — an exceptional achievement!
⭐️ Pass rate: 100% for both the IB Diploma Programme (DP) and the IB Career-related Programme (CP)
⭐️ Top scores: 33% of the students achieved 40 points or more!
⭐️ More than half of this year's Year 13 cohort started with us in Primary and have now reached the end of their Year 13 and IB journey at St. George's
⭐️ University destinations: Our graduates now have access to leading universities in Germany and around the globe

Mr. Troilett, our School Director, shared:
"Well done Year 13. We are incredibly proud of you. I would personally like to congratulate all our graduates on their hard work, and thank their teachers and the Year 13 parents for all their support. This is not only the result of two years hard work but the sum of all their schooling. These are truly astounding results this year.”

Dr. Rosen, Head of Secondary, also remarked:
“What a successful cohort of students! These results are outstanding and I am delighted that every one of our students passed their IB year. Congratulations to them all; we have no doubt they will go on to achieve great things.”

This outstanding achievement is one for our entire school community, of which we are all really proud. Achieving these amazing results shows a truly exceptional milestone and reflects the hard work, determination, and ambition of our incredible students.

We also want to say a well-deserved thank you to our dedicated teachers for inspiring excellence every day, and to our wonderful families for their unwavering support and encouragement. Together, you've helped our students achieve their very best and reach this remarkable success.

As another school year has almost come to a close, we would like to say a big thank you to our Parent Representatives for their continued support and commitment.

Our Parent Reps play an important role in welcoming new families, helping to build connections within our school community, supporting events, as well as actively help our community throughout the year.
