This weekend I was able to visit a place I consider holy, the Fugal Blacksmith Shop and the Fugal Dugout House in Pleasant Grove. My Great Great Grandfather's family settled here at this home in extremely indigent circumstances and their family started in literaly nothing but a dugout whole, one of very few families that started this way. I remember hearing stories growing up of how this evolved into a very prominent family in the area that produced many incredible people that I look up to.
My Grandfather, John Fugal, taught me that with hard work and a belief in Christ, his family and anyone can overcome poverty and rise to great things, which he certainly did. In memory of his legacy we have been given permission from the family to create the John Paul Fugal Scholarships at The Religious Academy at Lindon Community.
Tonight will be the 3rd of 7 classes for students that have been attending on learning to create the features of Christ in a formulaic way that can be passed off at the end of the Semester. The class is free and is made possible from generous people in the community that have purchased Artwork to cover the Teachers time, including myself, to share information on how to get better.
At the end of each Semester those students that pass off curriculum get a chance to share Religious Art at our Shows. Hope this could be of value to your friends,
It is focused for those that can not afford classes but all are welcome. Please share or most recent pinned post with any you think would be interested in learning!
