Hausarbeiten & Co. einsetzt, wir haben das passende Angebot für dich! Wir zeigen dir,
wie du hilfreiche Prompts für dein Studium entwickelst und werfen zugleich einen Blick auf die Herausforderungen im Umgang mit KI.

Im Rahmen des QVM-Projekts „Chat-GPT für Studierende“ bieten wir vier interaktive
Workshops an:
1. Einstieg in die Campus-KI - Grundlagen & erste Schritte
2. Wissenschaftliches Arbeiten mit KI's - KI effizient im Studienalltag nutzen, z. B. für
Recherche & Textarbeit
3. Einführung in das Prompting in KI’s - von Grundlagen & Konzepten bis hin zu Methoden und praktischen Tipps
4. Herausforderungen bei der Nutzung von KI’s - eine kompakte Auseinandersetzung mit technischen, gesellschaftlichen und erkenntnistheoretischen Herausforderungen im Umgang mit KI.

Zum Tag der Arbeit, am Freitag, den 01. Mai, bleiben alle unsere Bibliotheksstandorte geschlossen.

Die Emil-Figge-Bibliothek und die Sebrath-Bibliothek öffnen wie gewohnt um 08.00 Uhr. Bis 10.30 Uhr ist der bibliothekarische Service aufgrund einer Personalversammlung jedoch eingeschränkt:
keine Anmeldung (Bibliotheksausweise für TU-Externe), keine Ausgabe von Sonderbeständen oder Beratung durch Bibliotheksmitarbeitende

Die Campus-Süd-Bibliothek öffnet erst um 10.30 Uhr.

The Emil Figge Library and the Sebrath Library will open as usual at 8.00 am. However, library services will be limited until 10.30 am due to a staff meeting:
no registration (library cards for non-TU members), no lending of special collections, and no advice from library staff

The Campus South Library will not open until 10.30 am.

Willkommen im neuen Semester! Für den Start haben wir euch einige Tipps für euch vorbereitet. Wenn ihr noch weitere Tipps für eure Kommiliton*innen habt schreibt sie gerne in die Kommentare!

🇬🇧 Welcome to the new semester! For the start we have prepared some tips for you. If you have any other tips for your fellow students, please write them in the comments!
1. you can easily find your library pass in the TU app
2. there are 3 libraries you can use. Main location: Emil-Figge-Library (Emil-Figge-Straße 50) Sebrath-Library (Sebrathweg 7) South-Campus-Library (Geschossbau I)
3. at the Hybrid Learning Center (HyLeC) you can learn how to use 3D printers, laser cutters, VR glasses, video and podcast equipment and much more for free! The workshops for handling are also free of charge and are offered hybrid. The HyLeC is located in the Co-Learning-Space at Joseph-von-Fraunhofer-Str. 18. More info at hylec.de
4. you can borrow and return media at all locations during all opening hours.
5. some media are located in our storage magazine, which is not accessible. Order the books via the catalog to your desired location. You can also have your books sent from one location to another. This allows you to conveniently pick up all your books at one location.
6. the textbook collection is located in the Emil-Figge-Bibliothek. Here you will find introductory literature and standard works.
7. the catalogue is necessary for literature research
8. research and internet workstations can be found at all library locations
9. you can find intruductions on how to set up your WLAN in the TU service portal
10. group study rooms are available in the Sebrath Library. In addition, group study rooms can be booked, which are equipped with Smartboards
11. there are individual workstations at all library locations

Bitte denkt daran, dass alle Bibliotheksstandorte der TU Dortmund von Freitag, 03.04.2026 bis Montag, 06.04.2026, wegen der Osterfeiertage, geschlossen bleiben.

Please remember that all TU Dortmund University library locations will be closed from Friday, 03 March 2026 to Monday, 06 April 2026 for the Easter holidays.
