This page is dedicated to the exchange program between Oak Hills High School in Cincinnati, Ohio and Dingolfing Gymnasium in Dingolfing, Bavaria Germany.

Great night at Germania thanking them for their support. They helped sponsor 3 of my students on this years Dingolfing German exchange program. Visiting Germany and changing lives!! Prost!!

Dingolfing.
Spent our last day in town going to English classes and getting license plates made. Then our final dinner together and our goodbye to Jürgen the greatest bus driver ever!!

Great end to a great trip. A little rest and our journey home will begin. See ya soon Cindy !!

Kelheim.
Started with a tour of the city which had a 24 hour bicycle race going on. Then a boat ride to Kloster Weltenburg which is a monastery that brew’s Germany’s oldest bier (since 1050). Then up to the Befreiungshalle. Commemorating the teamwork of the Germanic tribes to defeat Napoleon. Finally on to a bird show at the Falconerie.

Herrenchiemsee.
The lake is called the Chiemsee and there are 3 islands. Took a boat ride to the first island and we had lunch on the Fraueninsel. Then a boat tk the big island called the Herreninsel to visit the castle called the Herrenchiemsee!

München.
Took a train and then a subway into the big city. Then saw the Hofbrauhaus and then did some shopping!

Passau.
Rainy day started with a quick tour of the monastery. Then an organ concert in the cathedral. After touring the city on our own, we drove up to the castle for a great panorama view. Celebrated Stephanie and Brookes birthday at the end!!

Valhalla and Regensburg.
We started with the monument to many famous Germans in the Valhalla. Then on to Regensburg to explore the bridge and the place where the sausage was invented!

Nürnberg!!
We did a castle tour, had lunch and then toured the house of the famous artist Albrecht Dürer.

BMW Tour and Landshut.
Sorry, no photos allowed in the BMW factory, but it was an awesome tour seeing how the cars are made. Then down the street to walk around the city of Landshut. Final stop was stop the hill for the fortress Burg Trausnitz.

Outer Munich part 3. Olympic Park and BMW World.
Finished the day with some fun. Had lunch and then strolled around the Olympic Park, site of the 1972 Summer Olympics. Then crossed the street and visited the fin and exciting BMW World and saw all of the new cars.

Outer Munich part 2. Schloss Nympfenburg.
From the ugliest part of Germany (concentration camp) to the more beautiful. We just simply walked around this beautiful palace and got a great group picture.

Outer Munich Part 1 Dachau Concentration Camp.
Started our day at the site of the darkest side of humanity. We experienced and learned about the place where the atrocities against Jews during WW2 took place.
May we all learn this lesson and pledge….
“Nie wieder!” Never again
