Dear Reenactors,
As you probably already know, our planned festival in Westendorp has been canceled. Despite many months of preparation, a tremendous amount of work, and our sincere efforts, we were unable to successfully complete all the formalities required to organize the event at this location.
This is not the news we wanted to share with you, but we had to respect the authorities' decision and make the responsible decision to cancel the festival in the Netherlands.
BUT!
Thanks to the invaluable help and hospitality of our friends at Tyrs Fimbulvetr, we managed to find an alternative solution. They have made their space available to us, allowing us to continue our joint initiative.
The festival will take place on the same dates, but at a new location in Germany:
54576 Hillesheim
The event will be a private gathering of reenactors, without the participation of the public or tourists. For this reason, we are introducing an entry fee of 5 euros per participant. The most important thing for us is that, despite adversity, we can meet again, share a passion for history, sit by a common fire, and stand shoulder to shoulder on the battlefield.
Due to the change in location and format, we ask all teams and participants planning to attend the event to reconfirm their attendance. This will allow us to properly prepare the venue and ensure the smooth running of the event.

Beste re-enactors,
Zoals jullie waarschijnlijk al weten, is ons geplande festival in Westendorp geannuleerd. Ondanks maandenlange voorbereiding, enorm veel werk en onze oprechte inspanningen, is het ons niet gelukt om alle formaliteiten voor de organisatie van het evenement op deze locatie af te ronden.
Dit is niet het nieuws dat we jullie wilden brengen, maar we moesten de beslissing van de autoriteiten respecteren en de verantwoordelijke keuze maken om het festival in Nederland te annuleren.
MAAR!
Dankzij de onschatbare hulp en gastvrijheid van onze vrienden van Tyrs Fimbulvetr hebben we een alternatieve oplossing gevonden. Zij hebben hun ruimte beschikbaar gesteld, waardoor we ons gezamenlijke initiatief kunnen voortzetten.
Het festival vindt plaats op dezelfde data, maar op een nieuwe locatie in Duitsland:

Het evenement is een besloten bijeenkomst van re-enactors, zonder publiek of toeristen. Om die reden vragen we een toegangsprijs van 5 euro per deelnemer. Het allerbelangrijkste voor ons is dat we, ondanks tegenspoed, elkaar weer kunnen ontmoeten, onze passie voor geschiedenis kunnen delen, samen rond een vuur kunnen zitten en schouder aan schouder op het slagveld kunnen staan.
Vanwege de verandering van locatie en opzet vragen we alle teams en deelnemers die van plan waren het evenement bij te wonen, hun aanwezigheid te bevestigen. Dit stelt ons in staat de locatie goed voor te bereiden en een soepel verloop van het evenement te garanderen.

Drodzy Rekonstruktorzy,
Jak zapewne już wiecie, nasz planowany festiwal w Westendorp został odwołany. Pomimo wielu miesięcy przygotowań, ogromu pracy oraz naszych najszczerszych starań, nie udało się doprowadzić do pomyślnego zakończenia wszystkich formalności wymaganych do organizacji wydarzenia w tej lokalizacji.
Nie jest to wiadomość, którą chcieliśmy Wam przekazać, jednak musieliśmy uszanować decyzję władz i podjąć odpowiedzialną decyzję o odwołaniu festiwalu w Holandii.

Dzięki nieocenionej pomocy i gościnności naszych przyjaciół z Tyrs Fimbulvetr udało się znaleźć alternatywne rozwiązanie. Udostępnili nam oni swój teren, dzięki czemu możemy kontynuować naszą wspólną inicjatywę.
Festiwal odbędzie się w tym samym terminie, lecz w nowej lokalizacji w Niemczech:

Wydarzenie będzie miało charakter prywatnego spotkania rekonstruktorów, bez udziału publiczności i turystów, z tego powodu wprowadzamy wpisowe w wysokości 5e od uczestnika. Najważniejsze jest dla nas to, abyśmy mimo przeciwności mogli ponownie spotkać się razem, dzielić pasję do historii, usiąść przy wspólnym ogniu i stanąć ramię w ramię na polu walki.
W związku ze zmianą lokalizacji oraz formy prosimy wszystkie drużyny oraz uczestników, którzy planują przybyć na wydarzenie, o ponowne potwierdzenie swojej obecności. Pozwoli nam to odpowiednio przygotować miejsce oraz zadbać o sprawną organizację spotkania.
