In language learning medical vocabulary is often limited to beginners' dialogues at the doctor's. If you want to go deeper and expand your vocabulary it can be beneficial to re-visit this field and try to learn new words for each medical specialty (for example dermatology).

Diversity is king in language learning. The more sources you use the better. One option that is often overlooked are comics - they offer colloquial vocabulary, real-life dialogues and advanced sentence structures.

Regional elections took place in Germany yesterday, in the federal state Saarland. Local or regional elections are a fantastic opportunity to improve your language skills because they a) offer plenty of opportunities to speak, b) give you new vocabulary and c) are closely linked to local customs/culture.

If you want to broaden your vocabulary a bit and also learn about famous people (maybe even from a new country?) this exercise is great. It also helps you form sentences and makes you think about syntax. It's best for B1-C1 level.

Have you tried learning a new language from a second language you already know rather than from your native language? It can be hard at first, but will really improve language number 1 because you are forced to think in that language more. It's one of the best ways to overcome translating in your head and to start dreaming/thinking in your target language. Give it a try 🙌

Most language learners get stuck with vocabulary at some point, usually at the upper intermediate/advanced level. I can be exhausting to learn words you don't need on a daily basis but it is the only path to true fluency. Try this tested method (10 years and counting) that has helped our students over the years. It might seem like a lot of work, but it is worth it 🙌

It's data protection week (something some of us take very seriously) and even though the topic can be incredibly daunting, the vocabulary you can get is priceless. It's stuff you wouldn't usually talk about, it's formal and it's lawyer language - which means it's gold for advanced learners 🌟
