Our Erasmus+ project GrInnED – Green Innovation in Education brings together students and teachers from Italy, Germany, Finland, Latvia, Belgium, and South Tyrol to rethink vocational education in a more sustainable way.

This week, our Students’ Meeting takes place in the beautiful city of Merano (South Tyrol) – and we’ve had a meaningful start! The focus of the project week is Sustainable Tourism, and on the first day, our students:

✅ took part in intercultural teambuilding activities
✅ reflected on their personal ecological footprint
✅ explored the city of Merano in international teams

We're looking forward to an exciting week full of collaboration, discovery, and creative ideas for a greener future – all in the spirit of Erasmus+. 💡🌿✈️

From February 11th to 13th, our ERASMUS+ project GrInnED is heading to the next stage! Teachers from Italy 🇮🇹, Belgium 🇧🇪, Finland 🇫🇮, Germany 🇩🇪, Latvia 🇱🇻, and South Tyrol 🇦🇹 are gathering in Merano, South Tyrol, to develop innovative ideas for sustainable vocational education.

🌍 Yesterday, our students dove into an intense simulation game, where they explored economic and political perspectives on the complex challenges of sustainability. Collaborating in international teams, they tackled these issues, bringing together diverse ideas and solutions—all while working in a foreign language.

It wasn’t easy, but the teamwork, dedication, and creativity shown were incredible! 🌱👏 You truly embodied the spirit of global cooperation and innovation. We’re so proud of what you achieved and excited to see how these experiences will shape your views on sustainability in the future!

🌍 Today, we kicked off the Erasmus Students' Meeting here in beautiful Riga! This project unites students from Belgium, Italy, Finland, South Tyrol, Latvia, and Germany to exchange ideas and develop innovative approaches for Green Education and Sustainability in vocational training.

We’re especially grateful to our Latvian hosts for the warm welcome and for organizing an inspiring workshop and simulation game on Economic Sustainability. We’re looking forward to an amazing week of learning, collaboration, and growth towards a more sustainable future! 🌱💡

Today marked the start of the GrInnED Teachers' Meeting in Riga, Latvia! 🇱🇻 We received a warm welcome from our Latvian partners and spent an exciting, productive day with teachers from Italy, Belgium, Finland, South Tyrol, and Germany. 🌍🤝

Together, we are working on preparations for the upcoming Students' Meeting in November and developing innovative teaching ideas that integrate ecological and economic sustainability into vocational education. Our international collaboration brings valuable perspectives to transform education systems and establish long-lasting partnerships.

Industry has always had to change: this is also the case in Essen. On a tour of Zeche Zollverein, the students looked at structural change in the Ruhr region and collected ideas about the challenges we face due to climate change and sustainability.

Today it starts. We had an exciting and successful working day.
