BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg International

BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg International Please follow our house rules: https://www.b-tu.de/unileben/soziale-netzwerke The university also supports start-up efforts.

With around 8,200 students, BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) is the second largest university in the federal state of Brandenburg, and the only technical university. It is a research-focused technical university that also offers elements usually found at a university of applied sciences. Around 21 per cent of the students have come from more than 100 different countries all over the world in order to study in the Lausitz region. BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, newly established on 1 July 2013, is an amalgamation of BTU Cottbus and Lausitz University of Applied Sciences. It offers everything its two predecessor institutions offered yet is also developing completely new profiles. Where research and technology transfer are concerned, we greatly value our cooperation with other universities and non-university based research institutions, regional small and medium-sized businesses and also major, international corporations. Our university has initiated many measures aimed at keeping well-qualified people in the region. One of the most important of these measures is the expansion of our dual education degree course programme initiated in 2015. Respective assistance is offered in the form of institutional measures. Young start-ups create new impulses for the regional economy, and inspire modern forms of cooperation.

We would like to join BTU International with BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg to create one big Facebook-Page sharing information with ALL BTU followers.
Advantages from our point of view are:
- one community instead of two separate ones
- information from one single source
- higher overall reach
- only one site to contact
If you have any questions or concerns about that, please feel free to comment! Likes to show support are also welcome ;-)

Involve, Engage, Connect " – TOMORROW 3:30pm – 6:30pm
At the beginning of their studies, international students usually have only weakly developed personal networks and are largely missing professional networks at the place of study. We would like to change this and invite you to the event, "Involve, Engage, Connect " tomorrow. During this information and networking event, we would like to introduce you to the components of volunteering, association activities and social networking. We start at 3:30pm in Seminarraum 4 (ZHG) with a short presentation of 10 university clubs and societies and Cottbus organizations. Networking with the initiatives starts at 5pm in the ZHG foyer. Make sure you don‘t miss it.

Or rather a huge 5 on campus, a tiny one? „Painted“ with confetti, people, light or electronics? Be creative! We are looking forward to your ideas! You can win a bulging BTU Goodiebag - in the next few days we will show you what it contains. Post your photo on Instagram with the hashtag until 01.07.2018 at 23:59.
