CEPLAS members receive funding from NRW

🇩🇪 Forschende der Medizinischen und der Mathematisch-Naturwissenschaftlichen Fakultäten der Universität zu Köln werden gemeinsam mit dem Max-Planck-Institut für Pflanzenzüchtungsforschung und dem MPI für Biologie des Alterns ein interdisziplinäres Forschungskonsortium bilden, um die regulatorische Rolle von Stoffwechsel-Signalen und bioaktiven Metaboliten in Immunsystemen zu untersuchen. Sprecherin des Projektes ist Alga Zuccaro (UzK), weitere beteiligte CEPLAS-Mitglieder sind Paul Schulze-Lefert, Jane Parker, Ruben Garrido Oter (MPIPZ) und Bart Thomma, Stan Kopriva, Nadine Töpfer (UzK).

Zehn neue Projekte werden in den kommenden 3 Jahren insgesamt eine Förderung von 27 Millionen Euro vom NRW-Ministerium für Kultur und Wissenschaft erhalten. Ministerin Ina Brandes überreichte am letzten Freitag die Förderbescheide an die Forschenden in Düsseldorf.

🇬🇧 Scientists in the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the University of Cologne will establish an interdisciplinary research consortium with the Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research (MPIPZ) and the MPI for Biology of Ageing to investigate the regulatory roles of metabolic signals and bioactive metabolites in immune systems. Speaker of the project is Alga Zuccaro (UoC), other participating CEPLAS members are Paul Schulze-Lefert, Jane Parker, Ruben Garrido Oter (MPIPZ) and Bart Thomma, Stan Kopriva, Nadine Töpfer (UoC).

Ten new projects will receive a total of 27 million euros in funding from the NRW Ministry of Culture and Science over the next 3 years. Minister Ina Brandes presented the funding notifications to the researchers in Düsseldorf last Friday.
